Already got about 16" or so on the ground, and it's still coming down here in the northeast. They're calling for another 3"-6" before it's all said and done. Just spent the last three hours shoveling, and I barely put a dent in it. Had to call it quits for a while, my back startin' tightening up on me. And, I haven't even gotten to clean off the vehicles yet. One thing is for sure...we are going to have a white Christmas 'round here. So, who else is being impacted by this nor'easter?
Ouch, sorry man that sounds like quite the blizzard. We don't get snow over here,in fact it is a little warm outside actually.
We have somewhere in the 18-20" at this point and its expected to snow till 6am tomorrow...started about 10pm Friday. Its a hoot.....
I'm not sure how much we've gotten in the Philly area, but it's probably around 10 or 12". I've been out with the snow thrower twice so far an hour each time. I can't remember what I paid for it, but whatever it was, it was worth it. I couldn't imagine having to shovel all of it.
You know, the older I get, the more I'm gonna have to seriously consider getting me one of them snow blowers. It'd be worth it's weight in gold to me right 'bout now, for sure!
i just seenon the news that the bears are stuck at the airport and mind not be able to fly to bmore for the game tomorrow, does this help us or not?
They moved the game time back to 4pm.....sure they could move it back further if needed for flight reasons, but regardless, it will have to be played at some point, so dont see how it helps or hurts since it may just be delayed but would seem likely to be played by Monday Night really. Interesting though, surprised CHI did fly into area before this storm was predicted to start...would have thought they would have arrived by FRI to be safe.
Okay so I don't have an impressive inch total to through out there like some of you but we got about 3-4 inches where I live and some surrounding areas about 6 inches. Now for you not impressed just let me say I do technically live in a southern state and snow is not that common around here. We usually get about 3-5 good snows around here in the winter...which a good snow is usually over an inch. So for us a 3-6 inch snow is indeed like a blizzard and we haven't seen a snow this large since 2005 if I remember correctly. I got some great pictures from it and may post them later. We are even forecasted to pick up another inch or two tonight.
I wonder what bearing (if any) that might have on the game tomorrow. Reckon it's gonna be a cold one regardless. Hope our boys are up to the challenge
I'm in Long Island, NY visiting a friend right now...not too much snow on the ground, but it's supposed to increase as the night wears on.
It will be cold and I am guessing the field will be in pretty bad shape. What this could do is give Chris Johnson some trouble making cuts and VY as well especially with a bad hamstring. Likely we will see more Lendale White but both teams gameplans probably won't change much (this was going to be a run heavy game anyway). The one plus is that the weather can give Miami a boost in containing (the best anyone can) Johnson and bad weather isn't as bad for Ricky. The bad weather certainly doesn't hurt but won't be a huge boost either. There was your weather analysis for football in Tennessee.
Thanks brother sking29. And, I won't argue with your analysis. In fact, I think you may have hit the nail on the head. Could be to our advantage. Let's hope so. Let's hope it turns into a game of field possession and time of possession, and that we dominate both and win the game. Go Phins!
Wow is all that snow on a table? Also you can make decorative art out of cake (without then eating it) or you can use it as a temporary blinding weapon in certain situations.
Wow. The biggest snow I can remember was 6". I freakout and go outside snapping pics and acting like a 3 year old when we actually get enough snow to cover the grass (like the last couple days).
yeah.. i mean i'm serious too i'm not blowing smoke. 15'' lol. it's a crazy amount for here so don't think i'ts normal
You know Lucky or someone isn't going to be able to resist that lol. Also I believe you but I am sure Delaware gets a lot more snow yearly than us Tennessee folks.
surprisingly not that much the past few years i think mother nature is trying to make up for it in one shot.
Well, I woke up a short bit ago to blue skies and more snow than I've seen around here in about 15 years. A new December record at that. Now the fun really begins. Time to dig out.
Close to 2 feet. If I never see snow again, it will be too soon. Took over an hour to clean off 2 cars. Driveway is still a mess
Just finished digging out easily 2ft snow, and deeper in drifts.........(this was prior to the shovel touching snow)
Well, got my 4-wheel drive cleared off and cut a path out of the driveway. Wife's car won't start, but I don't care...I'm headed to the tavern to watch the game. Go Phins!
