The reason I ask this is because I see on facebook that this guy, who I don't know, stalked out the players at the hotel in Jax. He posted tons of pics of players as they are just trying to get to their room, the elevators, to meetings, etc.

Just seems odd to me. I mean if you are at the game and you catch up with them in the tunnel or the parking lot is one thing...but to go to their hotel is just creepy.

here are some pics the guy posted:

Ted Ginn trying to get to the elevator. Don't look thrilled.

Denny, just checked in...here lets mug him

    Jason Allen...are you kidding me?

oh wait....Joe Rose loved it. Someone recognized him!

JT...yeah, you can pretty much tell he chased down JT in the hotel. Not creepy at all. :wink2:

Check it out...he does this quite often. Wrestlers...check. NBA...check. Football...check. Cast of Entourage...check. Players in their cars...check.

    Geez...this is sad.

I have not staked out players at a hotel. Several years back, I was attending a colleague's wedding at the Westin Hotel off Coconut Creek Pkwy. on a Sunday night. The Patriots were staying there, as they played the Dolphins Monday night. I saw guy in a pumpkin colored suit walk past off the lobby, and I said (loudly), "Hi Tom Brady!" He was not pleased--obviously because it was actually Adam Vinatieri (sp). After the wedding dinner, many of the back up players actually joined us on the dance floor after asking the groom if it was okay, and they were very cool. Didn't see any of the "stars." Btw, we beat them the next night!

    not creepy at all
i have actual done this in the past and landed many autographs
the players usually mingle about and most of them are real cool about it
the media guide used to publish where the team stays on the road and if it was close to me would book a room there
    met marino,shula,jj,zach, jt,etc
drank with coaches in the bar too
there are usually a lot of fans around and most of the players are nice
as long as you respect them

I don't think that's right at all. Before a game or after at the stadium is one thing but people should respect these guys privacy especially following them to their hotel room, that's just wrong.

they usually stay on one floor and block it off so chasing them to their room is next to impossible

i cant believe none of you dorks have ever done this
there are tons of fans at the visiting hotel
most of the time security will chase people away if they arent staying there
    its not stalking
most of the players love the attention from their fans and will talk with you and such while they are hanging out between meetings and dinner

You make a good point, yet as I said above, I inadvertently crashed another team's hotel stay. Most of them were bored, confined to the hotel. I imagine hotel security keeps the loonies out of the picture. Heck, even at a Hampton Inn these days one needs a key card for admission to the entrance or elevator.
