For unneccesary roughness in OT of the Tenn. game. http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/fl-dolphins-camarillo-fined-nfl-1222409,0,6221465.story What the flyin .... I've seen some ******ed fines in my day but this one takes the cake. Hope it enrages the Phins as much as it does me.
Sounds like the league is just trying to cover up a terrible call by throwing out a fine. Complete BS at its finest.
Byroan, my guess its the officials way of covering for themselves at times... Realistically Camarillo never meant to hurt the player when he was down... but... it seems... That the NFL rulebook states that if the players with the ball gave up and is down on the ground, he is giving himself up and there is NO NEED for touching him down... at least that is what I have heard and read within the last few days...
WTF? So, is everyone who who gets penalized for unnecesary roughness also fined? If not then this is a clear cut case of bull**** if I've ever seen one. Wasn't being penalized 15 yards enough? Now the league asseses fines for penalties? WTF is going on here? This almost makes me want to boycot the NFL for crap like this. I bet that guy that kicked Pat White in the head while he was on the ground didn't get fined. Posted via Mobile Device
What a joke, yeah agreed cover up,just when we are trying to put that game behind us they pull something stupid like that. They are wrong and are just trying to find some excuse to justify their claim. I have seen enough of this garbage this season. For some reason they feel they need to rub it in as well.
This just shows that the OLD FARTS running the show (yet they can't keep up) are corrupt beyond belief. It will take legislative action or murder to end it. I sincerely hope the former.
I don't think it matters who the player is. The "penalty" being called was ridiculous enough to begin with. Adding a fine just makes this a joke.
this cant be serious? i dont think if it was ginn the outcry would be different.....or a random bronco player or packer player.....the call was bull**** and the fine is even more ludicrous
Dude, no offense but thats way over the line, and smells of trying to stir the pot. This wasnt ever a Cam vs another reciever issue, it was a bogus call against the team we all love, a call that gave Tenn field position they didnt deserve. Why in the world would you try and turn it into anything but that? Posted via Mobile Device
Agreed,in my opinion I do not care what jersey he was wearing,I still would not like the call and then to add a fine is just piling on.
Im not a Ginn supporter at all, in fact i would like to ship him very far away from the team. That being said, if this had been done to him i can honestly say that i would be reacting the same way. Its a ridiculous penalty and fine. Its that simple.
I just got done watching the TUCK RULE game and telling the wife about Cam,again....(Believe me,she knew already)and agrees it was a BS call. I come onto the site, and low and behold, I see this thread. Now I am F'n pissed beyond belief.I tried to forget about it and move on,yet the NFL has to cover their snot from running and give Cam a fine?????? I don't get it,nor do I want to hear about it again. We have a new game coming up and we have a decent chance to get this goal accomplished. I hope the NFL "starts'" to take notice of our Dolphins because we ain't going away anytime soon. LET'S GO DOLPHINS !!!!!!!
Vandenbosch. Of course not. Also, Brandon Jacobs got into a boxing match with Haynesworth and he only got fined $7,500 to Cammarillo's $5,000.
About as much as you love going out of your way to make comments to get a rise out of people. Spoiler no homo
If that were the case then we would blame Ginn for not touching him when he went down, Ginn just turned and walked away
how long is everyone gonna ***** about that call we have a game to win sunday against a team we have to beat forget about it dam
It is crazy. Camarillo hit a guy in the fetal position a few seconds after he took a knee. I didn't even get to see the original hit because the camera panned away because he was down for so long.
Ginn, Vernon Carey and several Tenn players who walked off before Cam got there, as if the play was dead. Oh, and Hartline let up when he came running in too. just saying
Use your imagination. It's a fill in the blank commentary. Such as......... "Cover up" "Tragedy" "Why" "future at a crossroads" You just fill in the blank of the event that happened there, and it will apply to the crime in Tennessee on a much lessor scale.
An absurd fine, imposed purely out of spite, and brashly implying as much. The only reason I can conclude of the willingness for some to overlook this abuse is for fear of continuing, or escalating retribution. ...and in light of the rampant lunacy thus far, it might be wise.
and KVB didn't get flagged or fined for kicking our guy while he was on the ground. I wish someone had a video of it or gif.
Hit? Did he lower his shoulder? Leave his feet? Do anything but push him to make contact and make sure he was legally down? Sure didn't look like it.
If you have a Dolphins uniform on, the league and media hates you. Period. You talk about Pat White, well in that same game, Hartline got kicked in the head after he made that great grab. No flag. I'm surprised they didnt blow the whistle as soon as the Titans DB had it in his hands. What about 2007? That Steelers thug who stomped on Ricky? No flag, no fine. I hope Ricky runs all over the Steelers in 2 weeks.
The NFL rulebook also states that the play is not over until a whistle is blown; making this the referees faults....who are employed by the NFL. I wonder how much the league fined itself....
