Hi guys - and happy holidays. I'm Jacob, 28, and I live in the capital of Denmark - Copenhagen. I've browsed different fansites for some months now, and it seems that The Phins is the best - at least in my opinion. I've been a Dolphins fan since the age of 10, I guess. Back then Danish television started broadcasting the NFL - only one hour of highlights per week. Now we get three games every sunday and MNF live. So football has really picked up over here. For me, there has only ever been one team in the NFL - and that's the Dolphins. I reckon it's because they were pretty good, when I started watching (and the Pats were terrible - ah, the good old days...), and my older brother liked the Bills, so it was nice to have a brotherly rivalry - so I became a Dol-fan. On Jan. the third I will finally be attending my first Dolphin game (I missed out in London, because my computer broke down during the ticket sales - I was devastated) together with an old army buddy of mine, who coincidently also supports the Dolphins. We arrive on 1st of Jan and will rent a car to get us around. But if any of you guys would give us some tailgating tips - we would be very grateful. We are unsure of when to arrive, what to bring etc. We hope, that Henne and Co. will smash the Texans to keep the playoff hopes alive. All the best wishes to you and your familys through the holidays, Jacob
Welcome Jacob You may want to check out our tailgaiting forum to see if other phin fans are going: http://forums.thephins.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&daysprune=-1&f=43 As far as what to bring: Beer (and cups that are not clear/see thru since drinking in public could get you in trouble with the law) Grill Propane dead animal (meat, chicken, fish, whatever) Probably want some kind of chips garbage bag so you dont need to keep walking back and forth and yes, this place is the best
Good to have members from afar... Its GREAT to have a DANE Sorry, that was a houndish type joke...... A real dog for certain...... Anywho, I agree completely, this is the BEST dolphin site, and I have seen quite a few. Good to have you brother Jacob
Hi guys, Thanks for your warm welcome - that's great. Have just been shouting over the heartbreaking loss. So many missed opportunities... I hope to meet a lot of nice Phins-fans next Sunday, and that the team picks itself up mentally after today. Anyway - once again - thanks for the welcome. Jacob
