When was the last time ronnie brown finished a season?
When was the last time the dolphins made the playoffs?

Give you a hint, it's the same answer.

You may not agree with finsanity, but he's not wrong. This team has only gotten as far as Ronnie has since he was drafted.

If you think that last year we made the playoffs because of Ronnie Brown, you must be blinded by he's smile...think again!

This team can't be made by a RB, if that is so we have not developed our team, and depth properly.

He has fumbled 45 times in his career, the largest amount of any active running back. Its not just this year, when you start to make plays for the other team you are a liability.

I actually do know what I'm talking about, he doenst have that much gas left in the tank. Maybe his handshave gotten worse with age.

    32 is 32.

well, we wouldn't have made it without the wildcat (which, granted, did absolutely nothing for us in the playoffs, but we're talking about how we got there) and this year Ricky and Pat White proved that Ronnie is the only one who can run the wildcat.

So yes, we made the playoffs because of the wildcat, which doesn't work without ronnie brown. in a way, we did make the playoffs because of ronnie.

Pennington giving us the best season of his career most definitely played a big part, but that was also a benefit of running the wildcat.

Ah ya, Ronnie Brown's monstrous 4.4 YPC a pop was virtually irreplaceable and truly the key to the season....

i disagree ricky was much better when ronnie was still playing Ronnie Brown scores TD he isnt the fastest guy but he will get you the yards you need and we have been a better team since henne has been in he has has his games where he doesnt play good but he but he can make throws Pennington can't Ronnie is the total package in a RB he has good size great power not the fastest guy but still pretty quick and great hands and never fumbles the ball

agreed just think if he didnt fumble it in titans territory we could have won that game and no i am not blaming the loss to the titans on ricky williams i am just saying that one less turnover in that game could have won us that game

Really i will tell you ronnie has fumbled it 10 times in his for 5 years in the nfl and in ricky williams first 5 years in the NFL he fumbled 29 times that is quite a bit of diffrence

Well i am not going to sit here and throw stones about who i think is the better player. I want them both back, I want Ronnie as the starter, with Ricky coming off the bench. Ricky is more comfortable coming off the bench and being out of the spotlight. That and it's fun watching them both. We have way more important needs then a new running back. We need to use the top picks to fill defensive holes and the #1 WR spot.

Why is there even debate right now regarding Ronnie?

Where was he today? Where's he been this month?

His last play was Tampa Bay, six games back, a faint memory.

At 32, Ricky's been carrying the rock virtually solo ever since, Ronnie broke down under a tandem workload, shortly after Cobbs went down. Ronnies great when he's not on IR, but at this point, I certainly question his reliability moving forward.
Ricky is aging, but he's still a stud, taking abuse week in, and week out, and very likely why he's already signed for next year.

Im not sure what games you been watching but ronnie alone did not win those games if anything give some credit to chad that he played very well that year.

Not saying we dont need ronnie but we didnt make the playoff because defense played like crap and there was really nobody deep to throw to.We needed to balance the game and when you dont have a deep threat it becomes very difficult.

RB certainly made this team better .... but this teams success no longer revolves around RB .... that is one of the takeaways from this season -- and one of the most positive ones.

i think we all want RB back again next year .... but with the right improvements: LB, LB, LB, and a dominant WR -- we could get to the SB next year without him.

and yes, i agree ... and i think RW would agree as well, that he is more effective and happier splitting carries. we could not go into next season thinking that RW could carry the ball 25-30 times a game for a full season.
