I got Vista on my main computer, and haven't had any real issues with it, been running it for nearly a year now.
That doesn't make any sense, Apple hasn't put out a revised OS for Microsoft to copy and pawn off as their own.
Sure they did: Leopard. Vista is a copy of Tiger, after all. And Windows Mobile 7 is a blatant ripoff of the iPhone.
I do software support, and Vista definitely has some issues. They are a pain to troubleshoot in most cases as well. I just hope the new program has fewer issues... kind of like when they went from Window ME to Windows XP.
Real men use Dos... A new OS..already? It takes M$ about two years to iron out the bugs on their last OS release, now another one? Ehh...let Linux come with Wifi drivers and I'm so done with M$.
I still have XP and won't be changing anytime soon. I never change OS'es unless and until I change computers and the new one comes with a new OS. Hell, I never had any problems with ME, despite the horror stories I've heard from others.
I guess you are forgetting the first 3 years of XP, like the DCOM exploits that had hundreds of thousands of computers worldwide exploited and stuck in viral boot loops. XP has been one of the worst OS's, we just had 8 years to get used to it's badness.
ME was the worst o/s ever conceived. What a ****ing turd that thing was. My machine used to crash and burn more in one day with ME then my current XP machine has in 3 1/2 years. I'm serious, crashing and losing information with ME was something I fully expected to happen 5-10 times a day. The only thing ME did for me was get me in the habit of frequently saving my work.
