Come ON. That's the reason he isn't the first, but you can't sit there with a straight face and tell me he's not a better passer than Pat White.

It looks very likely. I doubt Baltimore, New York and Denver all lose. That's what they need.

He threw a pick. But henne has thrown more INTs than TDs AND gets the benefit of all the snaps. I'm not saying Thigpen should be #1 but that's not a reason for him to be #3

He was the only reason we were in it. The rust started to show though. He pulled a Chad Henne in Buffalo on us. They blew a great chance to win after that fumble recovery. Story of this sorry season, blown opportunities.

As for Thigpen: Didn't Henne throw like 800 interceptions within 3 minutes against the Bills? It happens when you HAVE to throw the ball in order to come back.

He deserves a chance to compete.

I kinda feel like we threw the game because of that.. I mean come on, we let an injured QB convert on all his passes and let them run right down the field with ease after completely stuffing them the drive before.

Thigpen is clearly a better option at QB than Pat white. I can't belive that's even a debate. Put him in immediately after Henne is out and maybe we win that one.

Why would they throw it? Did they owe Pittsburgh a favor or something? Wouldn't you want to end the season on a winning note, not a three game losing streak?

The one thin you CAN say about this season...

The heart, and fight in this team knows no bounds. Sure we lost more than we won, but the effort was second to none by this team week in and week out.

You have to love that, and what the future has in store for this team.

Yeah, but I am tired of failed comebacks.

I have to say, I'm glad we are not in the playoffs. Maybe we can get it together next year.

I agree, I love Thigpen's athleticism and he showed he has a strong arm. Why not give him a chance, you want the best QB starting, period. Chances were slim on that last drive anyway. The redzone pick was a boneheaded move. It can happen to a guy who hasn't played in a year.

Dang it guys.....16 games....and we really were in every one....not a single game where we tucked our tail between our legs and laid down for 60 minutes.

Very proud of the effort, very proud of the depth to step up and step in for injuries, but in the end...the pieces we need have to come from FA or Draft to put us into the Championship mix, for years to come.

Here is to a great, great offseason of effort.....

And the Colts. I'm rooting for these teams that sat starters to all lose in the first round.

Second round anyway, in the case of the Saints and Colts. They both have first round byes.

Give me the #21 pick. Seriously.

I can get someone just as talented as the #11 pick there every year. I guarantee you. And for less money.

Except he didn't have to throw that ball, in fact if he doesn't throw that ball it's tie game.

Wow that's a bigger difference than I realized. I still like wins though. Maybe this losing streak will light a fire under all of them for next season. I have very high hopes for next season as I think we all should.

Yes this team has a sack. But I hope we get better so we dominate teams from the beginning, none of this catch up stuff. I want to teabag the other team

It was a boneheaded decision by a QB who was amped up b/c he hadn't seen action in a while. We saw a lot of good things from him though. His legs bought him some time Henne's not fast enough to get. I am still a Henne believer but it makes me feel better knowing they have Thigpen on the roster now.

    1) I was talking about the second interception.

    2) You realize he probably didn't get any practice reps, and hasnt played since at least preseason right?

With Chicago winning wouldn't we pick at #10? I believe it goes off strength of schedule which ours was the most brutal so we would move ahead of all the 7-9 teams. Am I off on this?

Edit: yeah I think I'm backwards.

The harder schedule actually makes your pick higher not lower. The logic is a 7-9 team against a brutal schedule is better than one that played a weak schedule.

Yea I am happy to have him as a backup hopefully he moves up to 2nd next year and Pat White moves to reciever. However it was obvious it was only a matter of time before the INT's started piling on the way he was slinging the ball around, he was pretty reckless. Was fun to watch him play though.

    Cheers

    Hey rev =)

Im a huge Henne fan but if you compare the stats between the two only thiggy has thrown more TDs than INTs. Don't get me wrong Im in Henne's corner but don't discount Thiggys ability to play.

So we'll be picking between 10-13 in each round, 10-12 if the Titans win today. I know we wish it went differently, but this is a good consolation prize. Getting those picks while still being in the playoff hunt with 5:00 to go in Week 17 is pretty ridiculous. We now have a realistic shot at Dez Bryant. This area is about the best place to be in the first round in my opinion. You can still get a top player, and their contract isn't super ridiculous. Good spot to trade down from as well.
