Marshall is a Pro Bowl WR, who has had problems with Shanahan last year, and McDaniel this season. No one believes he will be back in Denver this year.

As a RFA, Denver will tag him wanting 1st and 3rd round picks. Some "experts" believe it will take a 1st, or a 1st and a 5th.

Would you make that deal or keep the pick for whoever we can get?

Keep the picks, he is a great talent with a lot of problems.

We need a play making LBer with that first pick.

Not with a 1st. I think he has that level of talent, but the headaches that he brings really drops his value down a notch or two.

I'd do it if he agreed to sign a multi-year contract with the deal.

Henne would be the best QB he's had and would immediately make our plethora of #2 and #3 guys start lookin pretty damn good in our eyes.

We are going to have to change our offense around some if we go get a #1 reciever like that. We are going to have to start running some different routes, we are going to have to give the QB a little more time to look downfield.

I would love to have Marshall, but I also would not give up a 1st for him right now. We have way to many holes that need filled through the draft.

Offer them something less....if they hold us up....just fold and give them our 2011 1st rounder and a 3rd this year.

He's not worth a 1st and 3rd IMO. Great receiver, and if we were ONLY a true #1 away from winning a Super Bowl maybe, but we need those picks to rebuild our defense.

No way. We build this team on the draft. If he's been temperamental with two different coaches, who thinks he'll be any better here?

Our team has a very team minded attitude right now, and we don't need anyone coming in and poisoning that.

I'd rather take my chances on a rook WR out of the draft who we can smack in line if it comes down to it, versus someone who has banged heads with two different HCs.

MLB with that first pick, WR with the second. You know parcells wont take a WR in the 1st round.

he always drafts for legitimate needs in two's
    look for 2 ILB's & 2 WR's
    then a NT, Guard & a TE

    this one should be exciting...

Will they take ted ginn instead of a 3rd???

In all seriousness, i honestly wouldnt mind having brandon marshall, the guy is a proven big threat receiver. Something we dont have.

I say if we can get them soon by offering less than a first rounder since they are down on him and might want to just get rid of him, then go for it. I dont think we will, I think we'll look elsewhere though, and I'd rather have someone else.

depending on the real cost - i could see us taking a chance on him.

for multiple picks (including a 1st) ... i doubt it ... but there are circumstances where i could see this happening.

i do see us trading down, picking up another 2d - and maybe trading Carey for another 1/2 ... so that gives us plenty of flexibility in rounds 1/2 to work with in FA ....

Miami has not addressed the issue of not having a number guy for the last three drafts, I think it's way over due to do so. Let's face it there is not one rookie who could be drafted that could make the immediate impact that Marshall would. Yes he has an attitude but Miami has always been a franchise who turn around people like this, anyone remember Irving Fryer ?

A 1st and a 3rd? Not at all. He may be a proven WR, but he's also a proven D-Bag who not only is a cancer, but has a criminal record to go with it. Some players never change, and Marshall will be one of them.

Asking price is too high if it's a 1st and a 3rd. Maybe he is worth a 1st round pick, but not necessarily. If there is someone else available at #12 that would be a better investment at another position (or WR), then they should save their picks by all means.

couldnt we work out some kind of trade between him and porter? i know those two dont like each other. joey isnt cutting it like he used to. then porter could be back with holiday, hill, and goodman.

then the broncos would almost have our entire 2008 defense.

Definitely not a worth a 1st and a 3rd, Marshall is one more altercation from a big time league suspension. No way we risk that much to bring him here, in fact I doubt anyone does. I think if Denver tags him, they will end up stuck with him.

I would offer them a 3rd with the posibility of getting another pick next year "if" he plays to a certian level. I say that because of all the issues they have had with him. Everyone is pretty certian they are not going to have him back which reduces his value.

I agree with the person who said give them a third this year and a first next year. He's worth it and we badly need help at that position. If Sparano can't keep him in line, no one can.

I would rather draft Dez Bryant with our first pick and get a LB with that 3rd round pick. IYAM...2 players are better than one.

I got one word for you all "QUAN"

I bet Boldin could be had for a 3rd and 6th and a deal worth alot less than what Marsh thinks he is worth. This guy accomplishes more in less games and really has one of the best attitudes in the NFL.

He gets injured but plays through. 1000+ in 12 games and 1400 in a 16 game season. I wonder how healthy he stays when he gets paid and respected.

How dangerous does that make hartline and bess in single coverage all day? How dangerous does our running game get when he takes 2-3 out of the box alone on every play?

How dangerous is that laser over the middle to boldin on the mark for 6?

Hands down we get defense in 1st and 2nd round and Boldin with our 3rd while throwing in one of 3 6th rounders. One could only hope that AZ would bite at that deal. They will not give him a new big contract he is gone just where.......

A couple of weeks ago I posted all the top FA WR's that will be available. There are only a couple of top flight guys with Marshall leading the way. IMO, we can get someone very serviceable...keep Bess...and draft Bryant. Ginn probably is going nowhere. However, Cam might be. Bess, Bryant, Hartline, Ginn, and FA WR is what we could be looking at. I would very much love to grab Vincent Jackson. However, I think SD will restrict him as well.

    Gotta agree with you.

I see his downside overshadowing his positives.

He's as much a threat to lose interest or end up in jail as he is to score TD's.
No thanks unless he came with a much lower pricetag.

if you trade for him, you redo his contract and add in some protection clauses (professional conduct standards) to cut your loses if he runs into trouble again.

i do not want Boldin ... not for his price and salary - he wants to be way overpaid for what he brings to the table at this point. if you want to get paid like Fitz - then play like Fitz .... he is worth about half of Fitz, not to mention he can't stay healthy anymore.

I think Miami needs to pick up a solid Vet. Receiver. Someone who can share the spotlight, and help/mold are younger receivers into #1 Receivers. Someone the younger guys can lean on. I don't know if anyone in the FA fits that character, but it's something that I keep thinking about.

Problem is even with those protection clauses we still take a big cap hit if he screws up. I would love to have Marshall here if he could get his act togethor but it's a big gamble to take.

I guess time will tell if Parcells and Sparano think they can straighten him out if they pick him up i'll be happy, if they don't I won't mind. That's the best thing about the Phins right now is I trust the FO to make the right moves and I can't even remember the last time I could say something like that as a Phin fan.
