how about Ricky and Pat White in a trade. Kyle Orton isn't exactly getting it done and Ricky only wants to play 1 or 2 more years.

If they Franchise him he's got to get top 5 money at his position.....don't think that is in the Trifecta's thinking.

Or throw Porter in the mix

Pat White's got no trade value and I think Ricky already said he's only playing one more year, I seriously doubt he'd go to the Broncos.

I'll pay for his booze and beat up his *****es for him if it means he plays here.

Uh...what part of "we would be adding a Hall Of Fame " type of player don't you guys understand?

Kyle orton is a pile of crap....With henne's arm...marshall would challenge for 1,500 yards...

You really think Fitz would be half of Fitz if Boldin was not lined up on the other side? I guess we will see next year.....

    Boldin 84 catches 1024 in 15 Games 4TD 2009
    Fitz 97 Catches 1092 in 16 Games 13TD 2009

Yeah go back and look at the stats Fitz has put up 1400 the last 2 years while Boldins stats are hardly laughable.

Maybe as a go to guy Boldin could eclipse 10 TD's

If Boldin is looking for more than 8 million he will be sitting next to Marvin Harrison next year.

If the Cardinals think he is worth more than 2 mid round picks they will have a hold out.

So with that said I think if he is to be had the Dolphins would have him at that price. Unless Snyder over pays him.......

You may be on to something. I think the boys threw Pat White out there to build value. What they did not intend on was Thigpen to be the one with the rising stock. Yeah he made mistakes but he looked real poised and has good potential.

He may be the most valuable trade bait we have that we are willing to part with.....

Just dot think Marshall is the answer.

As long as you know that if WR is a sore spot next year and marshall has yet another monster season...that every loss is on you lucky.

    Your fault.

I rather go after Boldin to be honest with you. Maybe not as good as Marshall but he is a top flight receiver who doesn't come with the risk Marshall does. I think Arizona would move him if the offer is right and he's already said he'd love to play in Miami. And the feeling, with me at least, is mutual.

Yea they fired everybody even Perry Fewell but he's gonna re-interview for the job if that makes any sense  Anyway they got TO and Jets got Braylon, Pats got Moss. Like I say though if Parcells and Sparano think they can keep him straight then i'm ok with it, would love to have Marshall if he can get his act togethor. I'm sure the FO will know alot more about the situation than any of us before they decide to do anything. I'm just not gonna lose any sleep over it if we don't pick him up.

Pretty sure the guy is one mistake from being suspended by the NFL for a season. No thanks with anything close to what people are talking about in regards to picks. The risk is too high with him.

I have said this before, Miami is a franchise who has invested in people like this and it turned their lives around. Look at Randy Moss he was trouble but he has been clean since joining the Patriots, I bet they are glad they took the chance.
Marshall is almost a sure deal to deliver, yes we are taking chances but that is football, we take chances on every player on the roster. I think he could make an immediate impact for Miami and trust me Parcells would reel in his attitude real fast, can anyone say Keyshawn Johnson ? Trade Ginn for a 5th rounder, free up some wasted money and invest it on Marshall.

Actually Cecil screwed up with Miami,Morris, nobody knew what he was up to,and his career was more or less over when he got tagged.
Both Cecil and Lawerence had lots of priors, that should have said,"Dont touch",Marshall's rap sheet reads like a laundry list

And of course you wouldn't want to point out the Irving Fryer success, so just point out one or two minor points instead of the positive.

well really there are im sure there are cases on both sides but, I do think for you to make a case to get marshall you would have to see signs of him trying to get his **** together. I don't think any such signs exist.

Also ignoring he's had hip surgery(which while temporarilly rehabable, tend to degenerate),and was suspended for the first two games of the pre-season.
Miles Austin is a safer bet

Who do we have that will draw as much attention off of Boldin as Fitz. Fitz really gets swarmed. Dont get me wrong Boldin would help here but the money he wants is overated IMO.

Boldin would be a more suitable prospect for Miami in free-agency, if they go w/ free-agency for the WR.

defense has the edge on acquisitions:
we need to find a PlayMaker @ ILB
    & a second Starting-Quality NT
to develop & play in rotation in the 3/4.
Ferguson is not long for the team.

the ILB is definitely the priority,
    especially w/ Brian Hartline
showing promise entering his 2nd year
    & several outstanding WR's
up for grabs in this years draft.

there will be several surprise moves made in the off-season, however, don't see us mortgaging the franchise over a WR

I've met and interviewed Fryar. He was one of those guys who just saw his life was headed downhill, and then found God and turned it all around. I actually met him when he was coming through town on a preaching tour - the offseason between the Dolphins and Eagles years ago. By the time we got him, he was long following the clean path, even being an ordained minister, like Reggie White.

There was no risk w/ Fryar for us. I understand Marshall is trouble, but he's not in the sense of Collins or Phillips is he? Is Marshall really any worse than a younger Randy Moss was?

I say, if we have the opportunity to get him - and who knows, maybe we do - I think he's worth the shot! The man had - what - 23 catches in a game this season with Kyle Orten at QB. I think he'd fit in with the Dolphins just fine and he'd make those 2-3 plays per game that turn 7-9 seasons into 11-5 or 12-4!!

I think that stuff was well before he joined us - he had cleaned up his act in NE by the time he left. Almost certain of it, I remember when we got him, thinking what a great move it was now that we had signed the Irving Fryar who had just begun to realize his talent potential towards the end of his stay in NE.

i would stay away from Boldin
    too much injury history
plus we dont have a wr like Fitz for him to hide behind
    Boldin would be a waste

    Friend KillerPhins:

take a second read on my previous post

I think we will stay away from WR in free-agency, period.
the greater need is on defense
& there is potential in our own stable & the draft
to find & develop the PlayMaker we need on offense

could happen, but I don't think it will happen
