I like it also, and totally agree on your point it will make the crowd noise louder and give us a better homefield advantage.

That ain't ugly.........it's fugly. Although I must admit, that interior rendering looks quite dramatic.

Looks like shade. Shade is good, along with some rain protection.

Should be aqua on the bottom orange on the top. Good compromise! Or every other seat alternate between aqua, orange and white. Kind of like the superdome.

The inside looks great especially with the closer seating, but the outside could scare away a hurricane.

PBC wants nothing to do with it.

Possibly, its just a rendering, many things can change. It may take about 3-5 years IMO.

They want the 2014 Super Bowl which will be selected in a few months. So they have to figure out the final plans soon and a timeline so that they can try to get it.

Marlins stadium is set to go up in 2011, if anything they could build the roof first like JS said and go on from there.

It looks like it is raised above the top of the higher level which would let some air in but id much rather cook in the sun and feel the rain when it pours...

Well I suppose it's one of those things where it's just a matter of what a person likes but to me, that is the tackiest looking stadium I ever seen. lol

Yeah I agree........do you remember the first time you went to Joe Robbie for a game after attending the OB for so long? You could instantly see that we had lost some of that home field advantage. I can remember being in the OB and the crowd goin wild and their stomping feet, thinking man this is insane. Never once felt that at the new stadium.

Well we're the same age but you obviously haven't gone as soft as me over the years...

Yeah, the stadium holds about 8,000 too many seats to house Dolphins fans. That's one of the main reasons why we see plenty of fans from other teams. I also wonder if the big screens will be part of the structure that holds the roof up, along with the Golden Gate Bridge look....

One thing I notice is that the rise of the lower bowl is less steep than before. I know that by doing it this way they don't have to move the luxury boxes but I'm not sure it's going to make THAT much of a difference with noise.

The best way to do that is get the first row as close as possible then make a much steeper rise so the fans are nearly stacked on top of each other.

Hate the roof, like that they're moving the seats though which is something WH said was too expensive to do...

Yeah but I was just looking at it and it seems to be a very slow rise which will not get that sound effect. It will be somewhat better but probably not even close to the ol beloved OB. Man I miss that place.

LOL, I've actually stopped going to games because I scream way too much and get headaches way to often now so I'm getting softer but not by choice..

Its called rise and run bro since they needed room to acommodate baseball there has to be a compromise
there is a bunch of space there
    stretches the seating out

The way JRS was originally designed was with about as slow of a rise that you want and it was still to slow for football IMO. It was done with Soccer in mind and comfort. This new look is an even slower rise which will now have the fan almost looking directly into the back of the head of person in front of them. It's ALMOST like that now..

And this time when they build a new one, keep the fact that it will need upgraded from time to time in mind.

Just as long as that rain isn't accompanied by a Cat3 storm. I see that roof ending up on the turnpike.

THIS IS THE GREATEST NEWS EVER YA'LL..

Did you hear mike dee {love that cat, had a good feeling about him because of the fenway angle} talk about how they realize that they wanted to take it from a baseball stadium and make it what a football game is supposed to be like..They actually talked about moving the seats closer to the stadium, i can't believe it, suits that get it,:yes::yes::up::hi5::knucks:..ive gone emoticon crazy, lol

Why the hell do you think our football team lacked passion to play....because the stadium never allowed the fans to motivate their own team to play on another level..never...man... I dont care what the hell it looks like, its freakin beautiful to me..

I wonder if the seats will be low enough and close enough for the "dolphin leap".

    ITS ON NOW MOTHER GRABBERS!!!

I do like the inside with the seats being closer to the field.....I used to sit in the first few rows at the OB, the majority of the times I was there.

You pretty much had to stand up all game to see but the players were right there in front of you and you could actually hear some hits out there.....it was an intense spot to watch the game.

Not to mention, those seats were easy to get because you had to stand and most of the time I'd be between the 40's.....it was sweet.

It looks very functional but man is that a train wreck of a design for the outside...

Stop goin all queer eye for the strait guy on me JS, you want me to put some curtains on it:lol:...That roof bouncin noise back, those seats being moved closer is gonna make it as close as we'll ever get it, which is closer then i ever thought it would. A real homefield advantage again brother..

Now if only they would add some of that metal from the corners to the floors of the first few rows to get even more of the Orange Bowl noise...

I think anything to make the stadium competative would be big. But I would put a retractable roof and be done with it.

Regarding the field surface itself, any chance you think they'd put in that new field turf? With all the football being played there now, would make the maintenance MUCH easier!

I ref football on several high school turf fields up here in Upstate NY! It is an amazing surface to run on! And it can rain all day and the field stays in great shape! Now, w/ the Marlins here, you can't do it, but why not do it when they leave, even before the other rennovations!

Lots of stadiums already have it too!
