No surprise really, and well deserved IMO. Per ESPN: http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4811050
Kindve surprised they didn't give it to Tammy Brady actually. - Good for Manning. And yes, he is very deserved of it. Nobody else understands the game and his capabilities better than Peyton does. He often looks like a man amongst boys IMHO.
On his way to being the greatest ever more than likely IMO. Take Peyton off that team and they are not even sniffing the playoffs, with him they are the top team in the league. There were certainly other deserving players but no one more so than Peyton.
in a pass heavy game, chris johnson had an amazing season. and he actually played all 16 game. at minimum, it shouldn't have been such a landslide.
Well I don't really have a problem with Manning getting it especially after seeing how bad that team is without him...Curtis Painter anyone? I am really surprised Chris Johnson got 0 votes though.
How the hell does Chris Johnson get zero votes? I mean did I expect him to win???? No but I thought he would have been up there.
If the Titans made the playoffs, Johnson would be my pick for MVP. You can't argue with Manning winning it, though.
Manning is the Marino of this era. Fantastically analytical mind and decision making capability ontop of once in a generation physical talent. A bit more mobile and touch to Dannys rocket. Watching Peyton can be painful to think of what Marino could have accomplished had he been born 10-20 years later than he was. Chris Johnson did also have an amazing season, and surprised he got so few, but I cant argue against the Manning win.
Chris Johnson hands down in my opinion a rookie with over 2000 yds. Without him i really believe Titans where a 1 or 2 win for the season.
the Titans didn't win a game without Vince Young. it's a combination of Johnson and Young that's so deadly. without Young in there, the Titans went 0-6, even though Johnson was playing.
