This is a good read... http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...-anytime-soon?source=rss_teams_Miami_Dolphins
- Ware didn't come until Bill's 3rd year in Dallas (2005). - Romo didn't hit big until 2006 (his 3rd year with the team, arrival in 2008), but really took off in his 4th year. - Miles Austin arrived in Bill Parcell's last year (2006, his 4th year) but didn't even see significant time until this season (4 years later). Following the above trend, it could lead one to believe our Ware is coming this year (Brandon Graham, Pierre-Paul perhaps?), that if Henne is our Romo and that this year will be a big year but 2011 will be when we should see the big jump, and that if our Austin is on this team it would actually be Patrick Turner (whom won't explode until year 4). Of course if it really follows trends of Bill in Dallas, our Austin won't arrive until 2011 and even then he won't come around until 2014. I really hope that doesn't happen though.
One thing I'm taking away from that article is that it probably spells disappointment for the fans who are hoping we will draft a WR in the 1st round. Miles Austin's emergence this past year would seem to bolster Parcells' philosophy of not needing to draft a WR so high.
Good read. And I agree that we wont take a WR #1 overall. Especially with the development of Hartline and still having Turner on the roster.
Great read, thanks for posting. This is one thing I like about the front office is that they know how to find gems and get their value. They may not always get every pick right but when they hit in the draft it is worth it. I can for sure say that they have a good eye for finding talent.
