Well, when he was a LB coach under Spags, the LBers did very well.

So we're not splitting duties between an OLB coach and ILB coach I presume?

I expect we'll continue splitting those duties.

The Giants pass rush fell off this season. I can't say I saw enough of their games to have an educated opinion on that matter.

So we got a LB coach, but no D-coordinator?

    Seems ***-backwards to me.

As LB coach he is probably a sound choice. I would not want him as a DC in a million years. What I saw of the Giants this year, 3-4 games, their D reminded me of ours under guys like Vince Costello, Chuck Studley and Tom Olivadotti. It looked totally uncreative and vanilla IMO.

I agree. I would think you'd want the DC to help pick the LB coach(es) to make sure that they'll be good with what system they'll be running. Maybe they already have a DC lined up?

Agree DC should be first to help pick a linebacker coach he wants to work with.Get the DC totally involved in the D.

No way to say that Zimmer was absolutely the guy. Maybe they want Groh or Crennel. Hard to say.

Fairly sure they want Groh, which brings another question. What would Groh run, the two-gapper or the one-gapper?

Hell I wanted Zimmer but didn't really see him coming here. After all he was fired when he was in Dallas was he not?

This signing speaks volumes about someone from inside the organization is going to be the new D-coord..

Just saying.. but I can't see an outsider coming in with his staff filled when his *** is on the line.

Could be, which would probably mean Bowles. Don't know that I'm very comfortable with that though.

Maybe we're waiting for one of the guys in the playoffs. They might have a deal done.

The longer we go w/o signing someone the more this seems to be the case. So Yep I agree!
