    VIA Twitter...

ESPN's Heather Dinich reporting Al Groh will be defensive coordinator at Georgia Tech; also, Dolphins not expected to hire Keith Butler.

If I was going to compare the job Bowles has done with our DBs and the job Butler has done with the Pittsburgh LBs, there is no comparison.

Former Viriginia coach Al Groh, who was thought to be the front-runner for the Dolphins defensive coordinator job, has reportedly decided to accept the same position with Georgia Tech.

Groh was thought to be an option to replace Dean Pees in New England as well. Steelers' linebackers coach Keith Butler jumps to the front of the line in Miami, though Dolphins' secondary coach/assistant head coach Todd Bowles may also be in the mix.

Butler is still very much around...

He's got a lot more on his resume than serving under Pasqualoni. That said, I'd still prefer Butler.

me either i didnt want groh
the fact that he turned us down is a real pisser though
he went to a job as a DC for a college team after being a college head coach
instead of taking the job as a DC with the Dolphins
    something stinks to me
    wtf is going on

Who ever said he was offered the DC job and turned it down? He was interviewed, that is all. To me, for him to take the GT job at this point means he felt he wasn't going to be Miami's first choice, so he took his next best option.

I wonder if we might be looking or know that someone in the playoffs now is going to shake free? This might be interviews for interviews sake and the real guy is still in the playoffs.

I mean this team isn't reactionary they think things through and if they fired someone Im sure they have a plan instead of saying oh **** where screwed we fired our guys without knowing we will have someone..

Thats somethign the old regime would do, not this one..

Not to worry though Bill Parcells was a DC he can fill in in a pinch.
