Our draft needs: OL, ILB, S, NT, WR

I have been eyeing these guys for quite some time and I think the possibility is good that some of them will be Dolphins.

Offensive Line
I have always been very jealous of the size of the Eagles front five and I think it might be time to get some serious size upfront. All listed are versatile enough to play at any OL position.

Maurkice Pouncey, Florida
Height: 6-5. Weight: 318.
Round: 2?

John Jerry, Ole Miss
Height: 6-5. Weight: 350.
Round: 4?

Eric Olsen, Notre Dame
Height: 6-4. Weight: 303.
Round: 3?

Brandon Carter, Texas Tech
Height: 6-7. Weight: 360.
Round: 5?

Inside Linebackers
These guys have the height to cut down passing lanes and the beef to deliver a punishing hit when it counts.

Sergio Kindle, Texas
Height: 6-4. Weight: 254.
Round: 2?

Brandon Spikes, Florida
Height: 6-3. Weight: 256.
Round: 4?

Josh Hull, Penn State
Height: 6-3. Weight: 240.
Round: 5?

Jamar Chaney, Mississippi State
Height: 6-1. Weight: 240.
Round: 5?

Safeties
These are my favorites because they are tall enough to win the battle of jump balls and their height will cut down passing lanes driving opposing QB’s insane.

Taylor Mays, SS, USC
Height: 6-3. Weight: 235.
Round: 3?

Nate Allen, FS, South Florida
Height: 6-2. Weight: 206.
Round: 4?

Harry Coleman, S, LSU
Height: 6-2. Weight: 206.
Round: 4?
Nose tackle
I think our NT’s are poor and neither will develop into what we are looking for. Its time to beef up this position.

Jay Ross, East Carolina
Height: 6-3. Weight: 314.
Round: 2?

Dan Williams, Tennessee
Height: 6-3. Weight: 327.
Round: 3?

Kade Weston, Georgia
Height: 6-5. Weight: 322.
Projected Round: 5?

Wide Receivers
I don’t think Bill Parcells has a history of drafting too many wide receivers but these could be likely candidates if they go in that direction.

Brandon LaFell, LSU
Height: 6-3. Weight: 209.
Round: 2?

Danario Alexander, Missouri
Height: 6-5. Weight: 215.
Round: 5?

Terrance Toliver, LSU
Height: 6-4. Weight: 195.
Round: ??

In sum: our many injuries in 2009 let many of our depth player develop on (ie... Hillard, Hene etc...) which really improved their talents. This was bad for last seasons record but good for the team as a whole. The bad record gives us a good spot in the draft at 12 and has also provided us with an easier schedule next year. Due to all of these reasons we will have no problem taking the east next year....and going beyond.

We are in serious need of an NT and that position has the fewest amount of candidates in the draft. With more and more teams playing the 3-4 that makes them a hot commodity. The draft is deep in all of our other areas of need which can be nabbed in later rounds. If they are not getting a NT in round one we will miss the boat.
