Hi, sorry I'm in Europe for a couple weeks, so I can't make a really detailed reply on my phone. There are free Addons you can install into Kodi to accomplish this, with step by step tutorials available on YouTube. Search for "kodi placenta" or "kodi neptune risk" for my 2 favourites.
I think you can install Stalker on that device and pay ~$10 a month for an iptv service. That gives you tons of live tv plus a video on demand section for movies and series. I use http://tvservice.club for this, and I'd probably recommend Vaders from them.
You can also use such an iptv service with Kodi through a plugin called Simple PVR client, but you have to make sure to subscribe to a m3u based service.
