eh you take it for what it is. the rest of the article was entertaining. and i would agree that a couple of the 72ers do get annoying when perfect season talk comes up. not shula though.

 

Why should Shula root for the Patriots? He was a Dolphin's coach for 26 years. He should hate the Patriots.

 

They went undafeeted, they have the right to talk about themselves.

 

This is a tired argument.

There are one or two loudmouth 72 Fins (Mercury Morris) who ruin the legacy for the rest of them. But really, who cares. If people really think that they all get together to pop champagne, there's no hope for those people.

You never hear Griese, Csonka, Kiick, Manny Fernandez, Jim Mandich, Earl Morrall, etc. gloat about going undefeated. So Mercury Morris is obnoxious. He earned the right!!!

 

Also keep in mind, when a team gets to 10 or 11 and 0, the media seeks them out and starts asking questions. Of course they have something to say when asked.... They are rightfully proud of their accomplishment and should be. If they were the ones making it a story you'd hear about it all year long, but you don't.

It's not like the members of that team hunt the media down for interviews, and the whole champagne toast when the last undefeated falls is something they do amongst themselves. They didn't advertise or brag, but the media made a big deal about the story.

PS And he's just mad cause he's a freakin Pats fan.... There's something completely wrong with an article about the biggest d-bags in sports with Shula's pic under it. Even if you don't like the 72 Fins, there are MUCH bigger jerks out there that should be on the list.

10. Brandon Marshall - Had some off the field issues and runs his mouth way too much.

9. Plaxico Burress - Maybe he's a nice guy, but he's definitely a Douche.

8. Travis Henry - Anyone with that many kids (all different Moms) is a Douche.

7. Jay Cutler - Whining your way out of a city gets you this spot, Douche Bag.

6. Rodney Harrison - Technically not playing anymore, but still douche-y enough to make my list.

5. Jeremy Shockey - I liked him when he was at the U. But he is a total Douche.

4. Tom Brady - Nuff' said.

3. Chad Johnson - Ocho Cinco was funny for 5 minutes. Now it's just sad.

2. Brett Favre - His rise to douchiness has been meteoric over the last few seasons.
