    calphin deadly at 250 yards!!

One person explained it to me as the team that signed him would be getting an extra first-day draft pick this year.

Gotta love the sound of that!!

Wake has a chance, not only because all of my fantasy teams the last 5 years have been "ILWakeAir" TM. LOL. But seriously, nineteen or whatever nfl teams were interested in him, or at least thats what I heard.

The few things concern me a little about Wake, like why was he used as a DE instead of OLB in Canada...Was his coverage suspect ?? Is the game different enough (bigger field, more passing, etc) that he'd have been even more of a liability there ?? He was a LBer from Penn St...he knows the position...he's added (by most accounts) about 20 lbs. How has that affected his speed and how will that affect him in the NFL...I see him more as a situational guy than an every down (as in replacement for JPeezy or a fixture opposite him) player...This regime has made it's living off of finding "role players" that fit into what they want to do...hopefully this is just another of those guys...

The CFL plays on a much wider field and it is more or a passing league.

They're saying that he's basically a first day pick if he was to enter the draft but we got him without spending a draft pick on him.

They're saying he's a first day talent. We're not actually getting a pick. We just signed a guy with first day talent and it didn't cost us a pick.
