Did not know he played baseball too, but it makes sense. He would have probably thrown some heaters in the majors. Royals went to the world series in 85 and had a few winning seasons on past that. Who knows? Maybe Dan would have pitched for them and been the missing ace. Pair him with Brett Saberhangen, George Brett, AND Bo Jackson? Pretty good team. Glad he chose football because I shudder at the thought of Tony Eason or Ken O'Brien in aqua. Talk about butterfly effect.Puka-head likes this.

Whats really crazy I learned from that article...the Royals also drafted Elway, in the 17th rd. I knew Elway played Baseball as well and had options before NFL draft.
Now I'm getting curious how many MLB HOFers were football players who chose baseball instead. Could Schilling have been an NFL QB? Nolan Ryan throwing bombs to the Marks Bros? Don Sutton looked like he coulda been a Cowboy. -
Nolan Ryan would have retired before the Marks bros graduated High School. But Nolan Ryan as a Dolphin definitely sounds interesting. His receivers would all have carpal tunnel.Puka-head likes this.
