http://blogs.sun-sentinel.com/sport...ns-davone-bess-isnt-giving-up-his-number.html
We can put this issue to bed, there was some speculation before, and Bess even says how they talked about it....so that being said what number you think he gets??
-
-
I thought it was already said he was wearing 19?
-
-
not willing to sell out shows a lot of character
the jersey has meaning to him personally
brandon is cool with it apparently
what is the problem? -
-
the number is not available
marshall should stop jerking around with this and etch a number in stone
it all just seems so foolish -
he even got fooled at the presser thinking #19 was in print already
just give it closure and pick a god damn numberlate again and Trowa like this. -

Took Florio a long time to get this info, this is very old news...
-
I'd stick with #19. Expectations can't get any higher. Figure maybe from a fan's perspective on opening day when they see #19, take a second to realize it's Marshall and have their hearts smile.

they should make a bet... whoever has the least amount of drops this season gets the number next season :D

Marshall should pick 11 or 85
-
I have a Bess jersey so I appreciate it.

If the only controversy surrounding Marshall as a Phin is what his number may be, I will be a happy camper.

Bess should sell him the number and put it to his new charity...
-
I'm betting on Marshall being number 85
-
That's the problem.
Today's reporter knows nothing about writing anything worthwhile.
They try to stir up controversy and negative points any way they can. -
-
bess has 15 it is not available
don't be a diva choose a number -
Had my Marshall jersey pre-ordered since we traded for him. Shipped just yesterday from NFL.com as #19. The jerseys were just announced in stock yesterday morning
-
This is nothing more than a reporter trying to pick at a scab for a good controversial quote. That's all they are good for these days.
Whether Marshall had picked a number or not. -
You better hope NFL.com knows that's his official number for the season.
You are a silly stiff not a stilly stiff! -
NFL.com is selling Marshall's #19 Jersey.....for those of you who have Ginn on the back of your #19 jerseys go find yourself a good tailor and have them remove the name plate. Then you can replace it with a sewed on Marshall....it's cheaper then buying a new jersey.
-
Bess said Marshall is fine with it, this shouldnt even resemble a story. -
I actually never thought much about it, until having just read Bess's explanation.
Like Pandarilla mentioned, It struck me as well that $ 50,000.00 would have made a considerable contribution to his Charity.
I'm not sure how many T-shirts they project to sell, but it would seem fair to assume, that along with the cash, he could have
secured Brandons approval to sell T-shirts with him on them as well, and that certainly would reflected additional dollars to his charity.
I don't know the details, but its good that they both handled the issue like men. -
The fact that Marshall isn't making this a big problem shows to me that he's starting to grow up and "get it." I know he still has to prove it more but since he's been a Dolphin he's been nothing but a great person and teammate. Keep it up BM!
As far as to why some of you wonder why this is such a big deal to some of us...it's because we want our Marshall jerseys now!finyank13 likes this.
