I was listening to Finsiders, and they said the home opener against Oakland Sept 16, will be a 40th Anniversary of the perfect season Game, and they will give away white hats with the old Dolphin logo on it to everyone who goes to the game. (Haven't been around here much, so sorry if this was posted, but I believe this was just announced) Nice for a free hat. Hopefully they also wear 70s throwback jerseys for the game. Mike Dee's twitter also has a promo for discount tickets (@MikeDeeFins)
I find this announcement to be quite confusing/funny...yes, its the 40th anniversary to the 1972-73 season....but to be clear, its not an anniversary game. Nor anniversary of a perfect season game. The 1972 season's first game was:

[TH]Week[/TH] [TH]Date[/TH] [TH]Opponent[/TH] [TH]Result[/TH] [TH]Record[/TH] [TH]Attendance[/TH]

1 September 17, 1972 at Kansas City Chiefs W 20–10 1–0 79,829

The thread title had me confused. So to be clear, this is a celebrations of the whole 1972-73 season. It's 40th anniversary, etc. The Dolphins first SB victory (following the '71-'72 SB loss to the Cowboys) - the the first of back-to-back SB victories. 3 consecutive SB appearances. Just as FYI.
All I want to know is, who can I get to send me one of those hats and who do I have to kill to get it?
