Its on right now on the West Coast, don't know if it will be replayed or not or if it's on the East coast. Still one of the all time greatest games.
Watched it last night and it brought back some really bad memories. I was 10 when that game was played and after it was over, I took a hammer to my wagon and destroyed it
It was worth watching just to see Manny jack that dum bass raiders fan upside his head for running onto the field and sucker punching people in the gut. I don't remember that part. And even tho it was a loss, much like the San Diego game where Kellen Winslow single handedly kicked our butts, it is still one of the greatest games ever. I just really enjoy good hard close football games. Our team was never the same after that, GD!@#$% WFL.
I can watch them, but would never call them greatest games. How can a lost be a "greatest game"? I call them "close" games
This is why I have never, ever seen the 1982 San Diego playoff game....even though many call it the greatest NFL game ever played, I refuse to watch a loss.
Well I should say, I have never seen a TV replay.....I was there and watched it live, and it was too painful. I thought it would be the greatest comeback of all time, and it ended up one of the few games I actually cried at the end of..... That game, and the other one was the loss to Dallas in the Super Bowl when I was 11.
[/I] I've watched it several times, but it was never a "greatest game", it was just another "close" game. Now the 85 Bears game, now that is a "greatest game"
Oh there are quite a few of those in my glad bag......beating Denver in Denver on Sunday night in 2002 (Fieldler got his thumb hurt), beating the Jets 14-0 in the AFC Championship in Jan 1983 (in the rain !!!), Super Bowls VII and VIII, beating Pittsburgh on Monday night in 1981 (won the game 30-10 and I believe Tommy Vigarito ran back the last punt for a TD until Ginn did it in 2007....was the longest stretch in NFL history between punt returns for a TD). These were just benchmark games (at least for me).
I don't get some of you.Out of all the Dolphins games I ever watched or witnessed. The Charger one was "still" the greatest game I ever saw. We lost yes,but it was a great game for a reason. The only other game that came remotely close to that was the Dolphins-Colts playoff game with Lamarr Smith.
That was probably one of the most physical games that I have ever seen. Neither team was the same after that one.
Yep.....it was just brutal on both teams, but it killed us because that's when Lucas took over (right ??) for a few games and it cost us in the end.
