No way we can re-sign him before the end of the year, huh?
I just think we need keep the nucleus of this staff together at nearly all costs.
It's not exactly Maddux, Glavine, Smoltz; but Santana, Perez, Maine has legitimate potential to stabilize the franchise as a winner.

Ollie looked great, I loved when Schnieder and Wright went to the mound and calmed him down, he took like 5 minutes to put the gum in his mouth.

Wright and Beltran are smoking the ball.

Atlanta is under a Tornado watch, don't think we are going to see the game tonight. That sucks, it was the only thing I was looking forward to this weekend.

I just looked at the doppler and these storms stetch into Ala****ingbama.

Randolph cannot read a bullpen, I'm sticking with my guns from last year, he is a horrible manager.

Technically they didnt blow it. The Braves had the lead when Johan left the game.

I don't think he was referring to a "blown save" opp. Just that they blew the game period. Johan left us in position to take the game. He gave us 7 strong innings.

Attaway, 54Fins! Except, obviously for the bolded part, we'll pull for them until they meet the Reds in the playoffs (and in the regular season). And then, the Reds'll need to spank 'em!!!

    Without a doubt,bro.
growing up in Yankeeville back in the day,the Mets were ALWAYS on the backburner and it peed me off to no end! I always had channel 9 on instead of 11(for the NY'ers who know what I'm talkin' about):wink2:, so as to watch my Reds when they were in town.Lee Mazilli was my fav on the Mets at that time.John Stearns,Kingman,Youngblood, and yes, even Joe Torre were fun to watch. They did'nt win much, but it was entertaining for this kid growing up. I support them when not playing the Reds out of respect for all my family who are Mets fans, all the games they brought me to at Shea, and because I can't stand the Yankees.

Always been a good hitter, never was a good fielder.

Randolph just does not know how to use a Bullpen, its mind-boggling.

Even his Bat has cooled off a bit in recent years. I realize he's been injured, but in Toronto he was an absolute monster.

The only things that makes mike hampton jealous are the Colorado school systems and being able to actually earn his salary by playing.

You left out 15 game winner John Maine and El Duque who was actually the best pitcher on the mets staff for 3/4ths of the year last year with a sub 3 ERA much of the way.

El Duque is done, he was scratched yesterday with foot pain again, but I think Pelfrey will be okay.

Now if we can finally fire Willie and get a manager that know's what he is doing I'll be happy.

The reason he left NY was because he loved the school systems in colorado. he gave that as an excuse as to why he took Colorado's slightly more lucrative offer over the Mets after the 2000 WS. :wink2:

Have to say I cant keep defending someone who makes the same mistakes.... A certain coach once said "If you do what you've always done, you'll get what yo've always gotten." It definitely rings true for willie.

On the + side Im hearing that Duaner Sanchez was just promoted back to AAA and could be with the Mets sooner rather then later.

Randolph wants reyes to be Jeter, he needs to let Reyes be the bouncy kid he is and let him play.

Remember, I was down on Willie when we hired him, and been down on him ever sence than.

I Coach HS baseball, and I don't see HS coaches making the mistakes he does.

We should have jumped all over Girardi last year, we need a coach to light a fire, not babysit.
