RD 2 Chad Henne QB Mich.
Upside: Throws a tight spiral and can whip the deep ball on a rope. Has good arm strenght to make all the throws. Has terrific intangibles - was able to step into the starting lineup as a freshman and win over his teamates. Very experienced in a pro-style offense that has produced a fine pipeline of NFL passers. Played with a seperated right (throwing) shoulder and through other injuries and is physically and mentally tough.
Downside: Needs space to set his feet, square shoulders and release the ball - average mobility, foot quickness and improvisional skills to throw off balance and on the move. Stuggles to handle pressure in the pocket - does not feel it well and takes unneccesary sacks. Looks like there's too much air under his palm. Locks his front leg, and balls have a tendency to sail high and off target. Accuracy is inconsistent.
