That "fencing" sport looks pretty funny. I'm not a big Olympics guy outside of basketball, but I was born in Jamaica. With that said, does anyone know when Bolt & Powell (Jamaican sprinters) are going to blow every other runner out of their shoes? I'd like to watch that.

I've been watching womens handball, France vs Angolia, this game rocks! Its like a combo of soccer, basketball, and arena football. If the women's is this fun, I can't wait till the mens!

Michael Phelps won. I love the Olympics. I can't get my fill. I think everything is great. We've looked great in swimming thus far.

Awesome that we swept the medals in women's fencing!

    Michael Phelps is the man!

If it makes you feel better, I missed out on the opening ceremonies (got a copy from a neighbor) because Time Warner was busy "upgrading" the entire neighborhood for the past 3 days. Still catching up from there.

Wade is now shooting 100% from the field and the line in these olympics and he also happens to be their leading scorer.

Yeah nice start. They took care of business.

I haven't looked, but China had to have shot an abysmal percentage in the second half. They couldn't hit anything.

They love them some Kobe in China, don't they.

China shot horrible in the 2nd half, but most shots were well contested. Ive been surprised at how well Team USA has played on defense.

With the exception of Michael Redd we cant BUY a 3-Pointer. Thats gonna have to change when we play Spain and/or Greece.

Well, they still badly missed a lot of wide open shots. And layups too. If Team USA wasn't showboating a bit, that margin could've been much higher. But I'll take the W.

Missed a good part of the basketball game. Could someone fill me on China supposedly keeping pace with us in the first half? Even with Yao and Yi, I have a little trouble believing that.

Essentially, we played sloppy on offense and China hit their 3 pt shots left and right. Then we tightened it up on D, though China still missed open shots, and we still played a little sloppy but not as sloppy on offense. China finished I think 10-27 from 3 point range and pretty much missed 10-15 3 point shots in the 2nd half. And seeing Carmelo at PF really made me wish we had Tyson Chandler instead of Tayshaun Prince. Heck, I'd even take Amare.

I'd make a long reply about the USA / China game, but it'd be all about Dwyane Wade.

Don't want to seem like a homer. :D

    D-wayde?

After watching a game where all the NBAers are on even ground, there is very little doubt whom the very best player on the planet is.
Labron is absolutely heads and shoulders above everybody else

Edit: That being said, it was good to see D-Wayde back in action.
