Exactly they've done it the whole time with every American team. I'm sure BBC shows anything well done by Great Britain and every other country's channel. You think China is showing the medal podium of their gymnast team's win? Yes. You think they're showing the Americans? Probably not.

Anybody watching this piece on the Shaolin Kung Fu? HOLY HELL! The guy is doing a handstand on one finger! As Bob Costas said, it was a fingerstand. Nuts.

No idea why you chose to negative rep me for stating the obvious. Obviously an American station is going to show American victories to its American audience because it's in America

Of course they're going to show the medal ceremonies. The Americans swept it. Why wouldnt they show it?

If you have a problem with NBC programming then neg rep them. Not me.

No love for the decathlon ? Back in 1912 Gustav V told Jim Thorpe "You, sir, are the World's Greatest Athlete" and that stands for me today. To compete in TEN events in two days, while display the speed, strength, skill, stamina, endurance, and perseverance these guys do is astonishing. And it's the kind of track and field events that are deceiving. I found it impossible to javelin, pole vault, and discus in school, and I was no clutz. A simple deviation of the wrist, stutter step left, and you're completely off. Just stunning what guys like Roman Šebrle, Daley Thompson, Dan O'Brien, and now Brian Clay have done throughout the years IMO.

I like the decathlon though I guess it's one of those events that doesn't have a lot of flair in it compared to other sports.

Lotta crazy things going on with the Olympics. Ref gets kicked, a Japanese synch swimmer collapses, Ireland's Olympic chief claiming horse doping...

god that game was so good. i cant wait for rudy to play, he is a ****ing beast...USA USA USA USA USA USA!!!!!! HELL YEAH

kobe stepped up, and for once i was hoping he wouldn't choke. he was just a beast and it feels weird being so happy while he celebrates...wade really stepped up tonight after his off game against argentina...i think someone who really is underrated is tayshaun prince..every time out he is always helping the team with the defense, you can tell the players really listened..i think he was a big part of how good the team played defense

DAMN! That was one of the best games I've seen in a long time!

I was on the edge of my seat the whole damn time. Everyone stepped up tonight! Paul, Prince, Bron(even though he was battling foul trouble), Howard, and Melo all brought their best.

And then there is Wade and Kobe. What the hell can you say about these 2? Wade completely taking over the first half when we needed him with both Kobe and Bron in foul trouble. And then both Kobe and Wade hitting dagger 3's late in the 4th.

I'm damn proud of this team!

Kobe Bryant = Clutch. And on his birthday too. He and Wade came through when Team USA needed them the most. Kobe's 4 point play was the nail in the coffin in my opinion for Spain and he played a hand in 15 much needed points down the stretch. Gotta hand it to Spain though for not giving up without a fight and playing aggressively till the end (though that throwdown of Bosh was a bit too much). But what a game. I stayed for the medal presentation and I'm damn glad NBC aired it because even if it's 2 am, I've got my hand pressed against my chest for the national anthem. I saw a few players Kobe, Howard, etc even sing the anthem.

Wade looked like a man possessed out there tonight. Unreal how he took over the game in the first half. Im surprised Spain was able to keep it that close. Great effort by them.

That was a great game, gotta hand it to Spain for keeping pace. No doubt Spain would have won had USA not brought their best team. Love seeing coach K get emotional at the end. Would have been really cool to see one of the players give him his gold medal. (as the coaching staff doesn't get a medal).

Nice to see the Bball get it at like they did and play like the Dream Teams of old.

All in all, quite an impressive olympics between Phelps, Bolt and everything else, sad to see it go.

Heres to Vancouver and the crazy Canucks!!

I didn't really like Bolt's celebrations, but I've come to expect it. Sprinters are a bit like WR's in my mind. At this point I just expect more arrogance than peers that play different "positions". On the other hand, I was nearly as excited for a girl I've never heard of before (Shelly-Ann Fraser), because of NOT being that obnoxious athlete that needs the world to "look at me".

I don't think Bolt was out of line or did anything atrocious. I just find that people who act like that generally don't get much cheering from me.

I would have been much, much different. The better question from me is why is it that during the Olympics, when so many other sports finding stiff competition, and new world records, why are there so few other athletes beating their chests with the need to be celebrated like Bolt was?
