So hows it work for a retired player? (Sidney Rice) Can I put in to pick up a player that isnt claimed?

As far as I know 305 Rice would be treated just like any other drop/add situation.

I suppose I should have mentioned this earlier but my mind has been everywhere this weekend having to shoot two weddings.

Because phinsational took over a 3 year rebuild project (IMO) and was given a team with originally 20 players because the previous owner hadn't kept tabs on her team (everyone else had 22+ players at the end of the season), I gave him two players off the waiver wire. Todd claimed Gerhart and McCluster.

I messaged half the league and got approval from them all before making this decision. I doubt anyone cares too much, but if anyone objects... I don't care.

When the receivers run out and the board looks yawn-inspiring, feel free to send me a draft pick for Reggie Wayne.

You didn't message me. I guess because you figured I wouldn't approve. And actually I have no problem giving Todd a leg up with that team, he needs it. But there should have been some stipulations on the players he could choose. You just gave away the star of the free agency class which is stupid and unacceptable Matt and you should know this. That's a $30+ player and giving that away for free is just wrong. Again, I have no issue with letting the guy have two players, it's actually a very fair way of doing thing. But we all have the same FAB and he should have been made to bid on Gerhart.

Firstly, I appreciate you being understanding of the fact I'm in a tough situation. To address your concern however, I inherited a team that lost a high end TE1 to retirement. What's the replacement cost of that? If I donate $30 for Gerhart, will you credit me back $25 for the loss of Tony Gonzalez?.... plus another $50 for having to sacrifice the #2 pick and an RB2 b/c I was without a starting QB in a 12 team league?

I'll more than likely be going through every bit of my waiver budget this year, so if you wanna charge me $15 for Gerhart then just say so and put it to a vote. I've got no problem with a majority rule determining if I ante up money or not.

No. You had the toughest situation of anyone. Whoever took that team deserved 5 free waiver claims to actually build a starting lineup.

I saw he is #2 on the depth chart in Cincy so he is going to get those goal line carries.

I was initially concerned about him with Bernard there but he's supposedly been on fire in training camp thus far and has put on a catching display as well. Cincy spent a second on him after a second on Bernard last year so I'm guessing they're not sold on the smaller back's ability to be the workhorse getting the bulk of the carries in an offense they want physical and more run-orriented. Considering BGE had 757 yards and 7 TDs last year, I could see Hill eventually becoming the feature back while Gio complements him as the COP, kinda like how Woodhead does Ryan Mathews.

BTW I'll consider getting rid of some WR(Not Cobb or Crabtree) or Pierce depending on what pick is being offered.
