#2 was a blessing. I can't beat Todd for a 3rd time when half my team is struggling late. Should have traded Gordon
My team looks great right now and I've got a lot of depth [IMO] but you've still got a great IDP group, the Rams who single-handedly lit my *** up 2 weeks ago, and an offense that's capable of going off at any given moment, sooo I aint countin' no chickens. Hell, ARod could've pulled an upset if I had a down week. Fortunately I put up 322 instead while everyone else dropped a stinker. I probably blew my load early and will be the one dropping a stinker this week while everyone else lights it up.
Yeah I just checked the bracket. Looks like we will be playing the third place game but hey ya never know.
Man, what a rough dilemma I've got on my hands. 8 running backs on my roster probably starting this week but I can only play 3. Trying times I tell ya.
Jeremy Hill is in beast mode but he's got Denver which worries me. Dan Herron could have his best game of the year in a potential shootout vs Dallas but he's still a risk. Latavius Murray gets a Bills D that's allowed a few yards on the ground lately, but then again it's Oakland & Sparano we're talking about who friggin' threw the ball 30 times through the first 32 minutes with a rookie QB last week despite being a low scoring game up until then and with Murray averaging 5 ypc. I have a gut feeling Branden Oliver could be due for a big game if Matthews is out. Niners D is decimated and got gashed by the run last week after Borland's departure. At linebacker specifically, San Fran is down to 3rd stringer Nick Moody, Wilhoite [who's dealing with a hip injury], and Desmond Bishop who was signed off the street this week. Keenan Allen is out and Rivers is dealing with a bad back. So overall it sounds like a recipe for SD leaning on the ground game plus some heavy running back involvement in the passing game against linebackers who might be exploitable.
I had a waiver claim on Oliver and then 'the rich get richer' Todd grabs because having 15 starting runningbacks isn't enough. Then I was deciding between Toby Gerhart and Polk. Went with Polk because he is getting the vulture touches at the goal line. I figured that is at least 6 points right there.
I may be about to win my fantasy league Championship. 104 - 75. I have Emmanuel Sanders still playing. My foe has Julius Thomas still playing.
Mine has as well. I was the #1 seed most of the season and went on something like a 4 or 5 game losing streak, won my playoff game, then lost again to get here.
In the Baseball slant league I'm in the title game and I benched Decker (lol) and Rivers was my starting QB. Whoops.
I'd like to give a shout out to Smahtaz. He had a rough season but competed right till the end, including making a trade and being active on the waiver wire. He currently has my utmost respect. I think Finatik remained active up until the playoffs despite a similarly tough season, so I hope he joins us again next year, too. Arrakis was a nice addition to the league, as were both A-Rod and Bag of Aholes if the former can figure out how to fill out his defensive lineup on a weekly basis and the latter doesn't move again next year during the playoffs. On another note, I think there are a few GMs who shouldn't be invited back, Who's Zoomin Who being one, as this is like his third consecutive year of being mostly inactive.
It is what it is I basically got 0 notifications today from the yahoo app, lol. I don't even want to check how much I'm getting beat by.
Congrats Todd. Didn't really get a chance to check this much during work today but you killed it. Well done sir.
If Pitt wins this game tonight's and covers the 3.5 line I'll win 5 bills in my confidence pool (where you rank games from 1-16 based on how confident you are in covering the line). Gooooo steelers. That'll pay for Todd's new club membership I'll be donating 25 to the site for.
I'd like to think my good looks had something to do with it as well.... but thank you just the same [strike]Andrew[/strike] putz.
Thanks Matt. Luckily for me the cards didn't fall well for BK whom I initially thought was primed for a crushing late season run. There was a time when I was sweatin' a little actually- when Luck was pulled at halftime and before Beckham, Landry, and Ingram went off for like 40 4th qtr points during the 1 pm games. Great job on your part in trades and FA to turn a rocky 0-2 start into an 11-3 team who earns the silver. You could probably be forced to auto draft each year and still make the playoffs regardless, knowwhutImsayin.
Jesus christ Decker got me 28 points and I would have won if I started him. I guess I just giveaway championships.
