8/24 8 pm NFL.com. We are at 12 now. If I can find another in addition to you I'll expand it to 14. It's a full roster FYI, 11 idp's.
The problem we have had with earlier weekday drafts is people have work the next day, people get stuck at work, people have kids to put to bed, etc. I know I fit in the very likely to get stuck at work category. I try and do my drafts on the weekends, particularly sunday evenings. Ive always found taht to be the time that gets the best participation believe it or not over the 15 years or so Ive been doing fantasy leagues
Weekends are really bad for me due to work. I work every weekend unless I ask for it off and most of the time I don't get off till 10. Still I want to be in this league cause it is always fun to join and get to know other fanbases of different teams. Last night I got off at 8:30 though so when the schedule comes out this Saturday I will know for sure what I work that day and I will see what you could do. If I miss an hour or so Phinsational can you really draft for me? We will see for sure by Saturday.
Yeah man, it'd be an honor to draft for our resident Packers fan considering how nice you've been to our forum and fan base. Others might object though.... to me drafting that is. last thing they'd want is Gisele's Dong 2.0 taking up a playoff spot. You better not be drafting before me though because if I BK myself I'm gonna be really pissed! {that's a semi inside joke in case you don't get it}
So the LiveJasmin girls are twiddling their fingers eh? I hate those b****** BTW. Their innocuous pop ups have gotten me busted at least three times. Like wiping down all your prints at the scene of the crime but forgetting the shell cartridge.
that's why you gotta use the BoiksWhores.net site so that there's no pop ups. But there is a membership fee of $1000000000 to join and your credit card info will likely be sold to some Russian scam artists for which we aren't responsible since you were dumb enough to give us the info in the first place.
I understand. My suggestion is to prerank your players. Or get a co GM to help you who doesn't already have a team. There is an option on your team page that says add co GM and you select a friend or family member to help you. Not trying to be difficult but finding a time slot that works for 12-14 teams is near impossible. I work weekends too. Saturdays are likely impossible for me and no one is doing this on a Saturday night lol.
Sounds good man. Thanks for letting me in the league. Who all from the boards is in this league besides you and Phinsentional? Im excited for a fun fantasy football league even though I will be in like 7 leagues ouch.
BOCK bock-bock-bock BOCK. {I think there's a SC joke in here somewhere. neener neener} Hey if I draft for Tyler until he takes over it'll be at least as competitive as my squad. Of course I'd first ask him his draft strategy, who some of his top targets are, etc so that he feels like his stamp is on it.... but it'd be me drafting for him using my logic instead of NFL.com's engine.... and I wouldn't hesitate to draft him a player I personally covet. Besides, maybe I'd like to see what it's like to compete against the master for once. .... but you're the commish so if you or others think someone else should occupy this role I'd understand.
Yeah I think I'd like it better if he had someone else draft for him. Or at least start the draft for him.
Ok guys here is the scoop I don't get off of work till 9 that night. So I will miss an hour of it. I will try to get on as fast as I can. I will have to draft in two leagues at the same time that night. One on Fox sports and this one. Excited for football and thanks Phinsational for your kindness for drafting for me during that hour.
FAAB is basically you get $100 for the entire season. When the wavier wire period starts each week you can bid for a player by using that money. $0 basically means you gamble on adding the player for free but if someone bids $1 they would get him. Optimally you don't spend a lot on guys who are there to fill in for bye weeks. You want that money to be spent on a surprise player or a handcuff to a player that gets injured.
Most football leagues have a waiver period the Tuesday after games are completed for the week. During this waiver period, typically done by reverse order of standings (ie worst team gets first claim) teams submit claims for the hot waiver pick up of the week. I don't believe in doing that because it eliminates all chances of you getting the player you want. Why should a team be punished for having a better record? Why should a team who has their starting running back go down have no chance to add the handcuff? Enter Free Agent Auction bidding or FAAB. The FAAB system is a bid system that allows each team to prioritize their free agent additions. For example, RG3 gets hurt. I think Kirk Cousins can play based on previous results, I'll go hard after him and bid $20 since the injury to the previous player is season ending. Or if your starting tailback received a few bumps you may want to speculatively add his back up since no major injury occurred and it probably won't be a factor so you'll bid $2 to have piece of mind. You decide what the player is worth to you and how much of the FAAB budget he is worth. As a side effect it also places a move limit on bids ensuring streaming is less of an option.
Do you guys want me to have the draft slots set up now, prior to the draft using a randomizer or do you want it randomized 30 minutes before the draft via NFL.com?
