With pick 202, the Detroit Lions select...

Travis Feeney, LB, Washington!!!

Feeney has a lot of potential to be a big playmaker at weakside linebacker, and we think he can grow into his frame and eventually take over a high usage role in our defense.

With the 206th pick in the 2016 NFL Mock Draft, the Chicago Bears select:

Tavon Young
School: Temple | Position: CB | Experience: Senior | Height: 5'9" | Weight: 183 lbs | Arm Length: 30 5/8" | Hand Size: 9 1/8"
40 YD: 4.46 | Bench: 13 (Pro Day) | Broad: 121" (Pro Day) | 3-Cone: 6.80 | Shuttle: 3.93

Positives:

• [*=left]Aggressive, confident man-cover corner who routinely shut-down the no. 1 WR of teams he faced.
[*=left]Plays bigger than his listed height/weight. Excellent press-jam technique. Effective both in press and off-man.
[*=left]Good, not great, straight-line speed but makes up for it with quick-twitch agility. Fastest shuttle time of any DB at the combine. Changes directions with ease.
[*=left]Technically sound with a controlled, measured back-pedal, transitions out of it well.
[*=left]Great ball skills as evidenced by 7 career INTs and 21 PDs. Well-respected and wasn't targeted often as a Senior.

Negatives:

• [*=left]Slight frame will make him a liability agaisnt bigger WRs in the NFL. Likely limits him to slot duty.
[*=left]Struggles in zone coverage, does not look comfortable there.
[*=left]Can't set the edge or peel off blockers. Not a well-versed tackler.
[*=left]Peyton Manning-esque forehead.

Pro Comparison: Brandon Boykin, Panthers (also former Eagle, Steeler)

Overview:
Tavon Young is one of my favorite DBs in this year's class. Year after year Nickel Corners are rejected and given Day 3 or even UDFA grades by the prognosticators. And yet, every single season, a handful of these guys prove to be excellent Nickel CBs. This is a passing league, meaning a Nickel is essentially a starter in most situations. The Bears already have an effective Nickel in Bryce Callahan but behind him, depth lacks. I truly believe Tavon Young could start for any defense as a third CB and could thrive in a man-coverage scheme. With the Bears, he will make for a tremendous depth player.

With the 212th pick in the 6th round the Dallas Cowboys select: Ryan Smith DB (N.C.Central U.)

1st NCCU player ever invited to the combine, Smith is 5'11" and 190 LBs with a 4.45 40 time. He played two seasons at safety then moved to CB. Set school record with 168 solo tackles. Speed to stick to receivers and ball skills to make plays- 31 passes defended and 7 interceptions over his career. He added KR as a senior and had a 28.1 yd avg and 1 TD. With J.Mills and Ryan added to the roster the Cowboys D should see a vast improvement in back-line play. Hopefully with Jack and Dodd pressuring the QB these new playmakers can get some turnovers against the opponents passing game. Something severely lacking in the Dallas D the last few years.

Dallas Draft:
1. M.Jack OLB
2. J.Dodd DE
3. J.Mills CB/S
4. A.Collins RB

After losing Abdul-Quddus in the offseason, the Lions could use an injection of youth ant talent to their safety position. Sticking in our back yard, Frazier was an excellent defender for the Chippewas and possesses many quality tools to develop.

With the 216th pick of the 6th round the Dallas Cowboys select: Joe Thuney OL (N.C.State)

Although the Cowboy OL is as solid as a rock there is always a need for a competent sub or backup. Thuney is 6'5" and 305 Lbs. A three year starter for the Wolfpack at multiple positions. Started on both sides at tackle and guard plus even played some center. Works hard to gain position and seal run lanes. Athletic in finding second level defenders with excellent awareness and protection understanding. A perfect fit at valuable backup positions.
Highly intelligent (scored 39 on the Wonderlic) graduating *** laude with a degree in accounting BEFORE his junior season. Dang. Cowboys could use those smarts.

Dallas Draft:
1. M.Jack OLB
2. K.Dodd Edge
3. J.Mills CB/S
4. A.Collins RB
4. K.Hogan QB

With the 217th and final Cowboy pick of the 6th round Dallas selects: Chris Swain FB/RB (Navy)

The 'Swain Train' is 5'11" and 250 Lbs. Like a bowling ball on the run, very tough to bring down. Swain had 1,038 Yds and 10 TDs last year. Can really scoot for a 250 pounder. Although running the triple option in college... Swain shows pass catching ability along with the running-over-defender ability. He has the power and can run through defenders. A possible gem with the rare combo of size, speed and power. Along with A.Collins and McFadden we expect a giant improvement over last years running game. Swain can play fullback or possibly even feature back. How 'bout them Cowboys!?!

Dallas 2016 Draft:
1. M.Jack OLB (UCLA)
2. K.Dodd Edge (Clemson)
3. J.Mills S/CB (LSU)
4. A.Collins RB (Arkansas)
4. K.Hogan QB (Stanford)
6. B.Williams TE (ECU)

Anthony Brown, CB, Purdue!!

Anthony has many great qualities that can be used as a strong foundation to build on as he develops his game in the NFL. Although the Bills might not have a pressing need at corner, obtaining a quality depth piece in the 6th round to develop is more than a worthwhile investment.

With the 224th and their final pick in the 7th Round the Chargers select: Brandon Chubb ILB (Wake Forest)

With late news of the severity of Jaylon Smith's injured knee the Chargers Front Office thinks we might need another body at the ILB position. Chubb is 6'0" and 235 Lbs running a 4.68 40 time. The leader of Wake's front seven, Chubb was a three year starter that earned the job as a Sophomore with his competitiveness, smarts and hustle. Son of an NFL LB he plays faster than his times with relentless pursuit to chase down ball carriers. A well-rounded player with the toughness to play at the NFL level. Above all he played for my life-long favorite college team... my dad played RB/KR for Wake Forest in the early 60s. You can never have enough Demon Deacons on your squad.

With the 230th pick in the 2016 NFL Mock Draft, the Chicago Bears select:

Vontarrius Dora
School: Louisiana Tech | Position: DL | Experience: Senior | Height: 6'4" | Weight: 256 lbs | Arm Length: N/A | Hand Size: N/A
40 YD: 5.06 (Pro Day) | Bench: 19
(Pro Day) | Broad: 112" (Pro Day) | 3-Cone: N/A | Shuttle: N/A

Positives:

[*=left]Plays stronger than his measurables. Gets under OL and uses his leverage to push them back into the ballcarrier or QB.
[*=left]Disengages blockers quickly to make tackles. Very good instincts to find the ball carrier and take them down. Reliable open-field tackler
[*=left]Displays a good first step and some bend to get around OTs. Has some moves in his repertoire.
[*=left]Motor never runs cold. Always around the ball carrier even if he isn't making the tackle.

Negatives:

[*=left]Measurables are not his friend. Will need to add some weight and anchor against NFL Offensive Lineman.
[*=left]Not as quick twitch in his COD as you would like. Limits some of his ability as a pure pass rusher.
[*=left]Not going to ever be a double digit sack player. More likely to play a run-stopper role who is a complementary piece as a pass rusher.

Pro Comparison: Za'Darius Smith, Baltimore

Overview:

I feel like I'm the only guy in the world who noticed this dude, but I'm willing to say he's a draftable player for someone. He really stood out at the bowl game against Arkansas State and he impressed me more than his teammate Vernon Butler in that particular game. Its hard to find any other tape for Dora unless if you watch full LA Tech games. Regardless, he brings some solid versatility and backup ability for the Bears with their final pick. He can play OLB in a traditional 30 front or even 5 tech in some situations. His best fit is probably as a LDE in a 40 front. He won't need to start anytime soon, as he will play a rotation role and should be a Special Teams demon. We look forward to Dora having a long career in the NFL as an underrated draft prospect.

While not a need, with such a late pick Detroit is looking for someone they can develop and can potentially be a quality player down the road. Beau has plenty of tools to work with and has been productive through his career (although he has moved around).

[*=left]Only average COD ability, could be exposed by more explosive receivers in man coverage.
[*=left]Will play out of control and is not always a wrap-up tackler. Needs seasoning and refinement.

Pro Comparison: Brandon Meriweather, former NYG, Washington, NE

Overview:

The term "hit-stick" was truly created for a guy like Deon Bush. He absolutely punishes ball carriers when he comes screaming in with a head of steam. He has a missile lock button; heaven help any receiver who tries to catch a pass over the middle when Bush is going in for the KO. The Redskins are really lacking talent at both safety spots and fortunately Bush can come in and fill-in as a backup for either in his first year. In the future, he can develop as a Free Safety who can come down in the box and play run support. Washington is thrilled to have someone of his talent level and we expect this Cane should be another in a long line of Miami overachievers at the next level.

With pick 237 the Saints select
Cody Core, WR, Ole Miss

Big, strong, fast, and fairly athletic receiver with the potential to impact in the NFL and should become a better pro than college player.
Lots of untapped upside here. Quietly didn't receive enough attention while playing in Treadwell's shadow.
