Wasn't it two years ago that the division winner was the only team above .500? And like 1 game at that? Awful. I remember when that was the toughest division in football. Now, not so much.
Washington won with a 7-9 record two years ago, squeaking past the 6-10 Cowboys and Eagles. I think that was the year Dak got hurt early and was out for the year, but still.
More of a general question than directly related to this thread but is the best place to discuss other games in this league on this thread because I definitely think this Chargers/Chiefs game is definitely part of the nfl season and I'm sure there's plenty of conversation we could have on it.
After watching last night’s game…and I’m serious in saying this…I’m not all that concerned about San Diego nor Kansas City. Seeing how poorly both quarterbacks played when pressured made me think of how they’re going to struggle against our pass defense.
Trey Lance is down injured which means Jimmy G is back in at QB for the 49ers. EDIT: Carted off. It looks bad.
Considering we hold their first round pick this year, I expect there was a couple of our execs annoyed that they didn't manage to trade him away.
Man.. some surprises this week. Jaguars win 24-0 against the Colts?? Giants win again?? Lions win?? And Jets win??? I bet a lot of people are losing money today lol.
Jimmy G has started 4/4 and now has a TD, for a guy with no offseason, it doesn't look like he's missed a beat.
Cincinnati are having a horror show start to the season at the moment. Currently being beaten up on by Cooper Rush.
His surgery turned out to be a silver lining for them since no one would trade for him until he was healthy.
Something satisfying knowing Ross isn't allowed to saunter his way into the middle of practice to take all the credit and kill the mood.
I saw a little of it. Someone needs to remind Carr that he has other receivers besides Adams. They choked that game away
Last week was a fluke imo. Home opener vs the former QB who apparently wanted out and may not have been a popular rocker room guy. Also, Broncos coach is off to a really rough start. He might be the worst of the new guys and it might not be close.
Let's partake in some schedule watching. At about 3pm yesterday I was fretting for a 1-3 start to the season as the Bengals game is on a short week. We'll see how "legit" the Bills and Vikings are tonight, but let's assume an L next week against the Bills. Though that's definitely not a lock. I don't see how the Dolphins don't swallow up the Bengals on TNF. They have worse O-line issues than the Dolphins. 11 Sacks already. They just got devoured by Cooper Rush. The Steelers and Cowboys have objectively worse defences to the Dolphins when not playing against Lamar Jackson at home. Beyond that we have Jets - Road, Vikes - Home, Steeler - Home, Lions - Road. None of those games scare me. Vikings, maybe. Could this team, as currently constructed, enter November with 6 or 7 wins? It's seemingly quite likely.
I'd argue they needed to go to Adams more. 2 receptions is nowhere near enough for a guy of his talent.
That last play before the end of the half on bills/titans is classic tannehill. Former wide receiver that doesnt move and bad pocket awareness..
AFC South and North are ... garbage. Holy hell. The Jags have a legit shot to take that division. The Ravens are probably good, but limited. The playoffs are WIDE OPEN, even if the Bills retain their divisional title.
That bills defense is deep… theyre down two on their secondary on injuries occurred today and basically in garbage time and theyre still making plays.. time for Malik to take the snaps for the rest of the game.. titans need a change
Tannehill benched.. in the 3rd quarter too. I think last year's debacle was the last straw for Vrabel. He knows he'll never win a SB with Tannehill. So he drafts a new QB and with the first hint of bad play by Tannehill starts him. I wouldn't be surprised if Tannehill is playing for yet another team next year.
