Interesting list http://www.time.com/time/specials/packages/article/0,28804,1877351_1878509_1878508,00.html
Interesting in the same way a punchline is interesting. What a joke this list is. Phil Gramm? And why does Franklin Raines make the list, but Jim Johnson doesn't? Well, at least it reconfirms that Time and its readers are uninformed...
Let me apologize Shoes, however that list is flawed, for the "25 people who" it glosses over the real culprits behind the Financial problems... "Us" the Consumer...we did it, it were us....
You dont have to apologize to me, I made no defense of the list. Any top list will obviously be questionable and should be taken with a grain of salt. I do believe though that consumer is on the list. Dont really recall what the blurb said about it, but hey, at least we made the top 25!
If we wanted to name names the list would be way too long..... Answer me this though... Wall Street and Main Street were drunk on easy credit for too long. Who provided the alcohol?
The banking industry wanted to make more money so they invented Credit cards to allow us to have things we wanted but didn't necessarily need. We took them up on it they got greedy and uped the credit line and we just kept on spending. Now they cry foul and we are the problem, yea right! Theres a little crook in all of us (well most, ok) and if you give it away why buy the cow?
Hey i didn't put anything on a credit card yet I'm still in this ****ed up situation with the rest of you. edit: so it's not just credit users...
