FOX Sports on MSN - NFL - Ranking the best offensive rookies - Number 1 Matt Ryan, Falcons QB With his team 6-3, Ryan is on track for the most successful season by a rookie quarterback since Ben Roethlisberger led Pittsburgh to the 2004 AFC Championship game. Ryan also enters this weekend's games with a higher quarterback rating (89.9) than Brett Favre and the Manning brothers.
I don't necessarily disagree with the list but how does one have BenJarvus Green-Ellis on that list and not Curtis Lofton?
RB is usually the easiest position to hit the ground running in the pros. But OL, look at the amount of LT and G on that list. Last year was an amazing year to get yourself a LT and this class looks pretty good to boot.
I know I've said it many, many times before but...I really wish we would have grabbed Hightower before the Cards. Who knows how much Ricky has left in the tank. I would have loved a Brown/Hightower combo.
I can't take that list seriously. BenJarvus Green-Ellis does not belong anywhere on that list, and that goes double for Kevin Smith and Darren McFadden. (How in the hell is McFadden a rookie standout if he's been hurt half the year?) Further, I don't get why Jonathan Stewart is in the 20s, but Tim Hightower is #9. They've been used in the same manner, but Stewart has 120 more yards and only 2 fewer TDs.
Good catch. Speaking of another rookie OT, Sam Baker has absolutely earned a spot on this list. A lot of people were down on him coming out, but he's starting as a rookie and doing a very good job. Atlanta hit bigtime on him, even if it seems they panicked when trading up to get him. And how about Jeff Otah?
