They arent all dead. The guy who narrarated the first one is obviously still alive at the end of the movie. He's the guy that loses an eye and is sent back to Sparta by Leonidis.

Yea but do you want to see a movie about him? The movie had a ending and the main characters died, this is a money grab for sure but I'll watch it to see some of the awesome visuals again.
The movie did not have an ending. Yes Leonidas and his 300 died however that was not the end. Do you not remember the big battle at the very end of the film that was getting ready to take place led by Dilios against the Persian army? The 300 were only a small unit of Spartans joined by a small group of, I believe, Athenians that eventually retreated before the 300 stood in battle and were slaughtered. The much larger battle (at Plataea) taking place in the second film is a Greece united against the common enemy, Persia.
Bingo. Somebody had to give a history lesson. They should be fine making a sequel. They still have Dilios, Leonidas' broad and Jason Taylor. Thats plenty of characters.
yes...I remember the movie in question, just that the 300 are dead lol. I realize they can make a movie about any number of Spartan battles and Persian battles, etc but Leonidas made that movie IMO, otherwise it was just repetitive battle scenes. Again I'll watch the movie but I don't have high expectations for it.
isnt the big battle the battle of marathon? the one at the end? where they finally defeat the persians....... edit: never mind earlier war........... if they did the naval battle before the big one at the end, that'd be dope....
i totally thought when i first saw 300 that was indeed Jason Taylor... i was convinced of it at first... haha Glad im not the only one who thought that! Should be interesting to see a new movie here though... first one was cool to watch with some nice visuals.
Thats from the same article I posted. The prequel storyline is still a rumor, we'll have to see what Miller comes up with.
Shouldnt be too hard. Theres still a lot of battles and story lines they could use. I hope they pick it up where the last one left off and dont make a prequel out of it.
This is what I meant by prequel/sequel storyline, why can't they show bits of both with it skipping around Sin City style? Maybe the story culminates with that final battle...
