6. Ronnie Brown is a BEAST!

 

Nice article. It will be interesting to see how we play in Houston next week. This will now be a game we are expected to win. The pressure will, for the first time this season, be squarely on us to come out of this with a W.
I think we have a great shot. They can be exploited defensively, and their red zone percentage is heinous, if you make it to the red zone you score a TD against them. Defensively, we need to pressure the QB. For 2 weeks now we have made QBs look bad, including one of the better ones in the league in Rivers.

I hope we can come out strong again. If we can get up early I feel we will take the wind out of the Texans sails. Was a great game this week, hopefully we can keep it going now that we are expected to win!

 

As happy as I am for the wins, lets not forget, its only been two games. Secondly, we've never beat the Texans. As another poster said, I like being the underdog. People aren't expecting us to win. The victories are more sweet that way

 

Being the underdog is all well and good for a rebuilding team. But being the up and coming challenger who's been bashing the established contenders is much more fun.

The defense reminds me of 05. Although we were young, not necessarily the most talented, we were disciplined and violent. Attack, attack, attack.

This team will go as far as the D allows, IMO. Glad to see we're getting better every week.

 

I disagree with a point in there. He says that the goal line stand where we stuffed LT on 4th and 1 was a defining moment in the game. That's not entirely correct. That was a defining moment for this entire season. Assuming we continue to win this season, not necessarily make the playoffs, but continue to win and have a respectable season I think we will look back to that one play as the moment this Miami Dolphins team became "real."

No. That moment will belong to the NE game, and Ronnies 4 tds. That was his moment and it will never be taken from him.

Everyone knows who Ronnie Brown is now and they understand why he was the #2 pick in the draft.

 

If there were two words that I would love our team to always be described with. those would be it.

Disciplined because nobody wants to give up stupid penalties and make dumb mistakes. And violent because who doesn't want to have a team that will beat the living .... out of their opponent every week?

I love how this team has been looking the last two weeks. ..... for the future.

Yeah thats nice to see, we had a real issue with penalties in the preseason and even the first games of the season, very nice to see that coming under control.

 

My only gripe about today.....we played way too conservatively in the 2nd half. We received the opening kickoff and then ran three predictable plays....3 and out. We scored 17 in the first half and none in the 2nd, although we did miss a FG that could have been costly. Other than this I loved how we played, esepcially the defense. Roth is a beast. Loved how we shut down LT on that 4th and 2 at the goal line.

Good call on that one. The offense sputtered in the second half which is disconcerting to me. I also did not approve of the third down conversion percentage, again disconcerting.

Penalties were a big plus and so was Chad's efficiency. Defense played lights out.

I think we all knew it was just a matter of time, Im only shocked it didnt happen last year!

 

Then again, it's not like the domination the 'Phins enjoyed over the Jills in the '70's where the two teams met twice a season, but just a handful of losses (although the first one was particularly inexcusable). Furthermore, it's a much different 'Phins team and coaching staff and I doubt even half a dozen players remain from those defeats. Still, upsets can happen (just ask Patsy and Chargers fans:tongue2:), so I'm not about to let overconfidence lead me into making rash guarantees of a Dolphins win. However, this should be a good test for them to see how they respond to being favorites.

 

I think we're all on a "spin the thing positive' note and why not ?? But there still are going to be pitfalls with this young team...They're still learning to win as Sparano said and there might be a setback here and there...but I'll take these kinds of wins any where, anytime....Thanks Fins...weve really enjoyed it so far...

 

Its funny hearing people go like wow Ronnie Brown came out of know where...like i said last year...Everyone else is discovering with dolphin fans already knew, ronnie brown is an elite back

 

Considering that they have already have more wins (and against the participants in last year's AFC Championship game, no less) in four games than they had in 16 last year, I don't see how else one could characterize this season but as positive... as long as they avoid the pitfalls of resting on their (relatively minor) laurels or becoming overconfident. While they've shown in the past two games what they can do, they still have to prove they can do it on a consistent basis.

 

I wont get overly confident or excited because I still remember we are in a rebuild, but the best part of that is, we still haven't seen the finished product.
I feel pretty sure this staff will make our Dolphins better and better as time goes by.
