That's not surprising when you combine a porous OL with a QB that struggles under pressure and is best at the long ball.

Colombo is no surprise with 9 but Long had an "off" year with 5... what about the rest, the other starters and players, is there any list to check it out or something?

All QBs struggle under pressure. Did you notice Brady wilt like a flower in the 1st half of the last game when we were able to get pressure? The go to 5 wides in the 2nd half and Nolan dials down the pressure packages.

MC what bugs me is we went soft before the half. That was a real bad series. You push the football.
We knew the Pats would score points. Everyone was fine with that up by 17.

Sacks for Miami according to PFF. They do things differently though, and give sacks to the QB in situations where they feel the QB himself was at fault for the sack in some way and blame Moore for 7. Colombo 9, Long 5, Pouncey and Incognito had 3 each. Garner had 4. Bush, Carey and Jerry had 2 each. Fasano, Clay and Thomas, 1 each. Henne was credited with 1 sack for the same reason Moore was given 7. PFF has a total of 41 for some reason, while nfl.com has it as 51 now.
They also have us getting 41 sacks, while nfl.com says 39. I'll email them and ask why there is a 10 sack disparity.

Other totals: QB hits: Colombo, 9, Carey, 7, Long, 6. Incognito, 5, Bush, 4, Thomas and Pouncey each had 2, Jerry had 1.

QB Pressures: Colombo, 34, Long, 15, Carey and Pouncey each had 14, Incognito, 8, Jerry and Garner each had 7. Bush, 3, Hilliard, 2, Fasano, 1.

Colombo has a combined 52 sacks, hits and pressures, and believe it or not, that isn't the worst combined total for tackles in the league.
Jeremy Trueblood: 4 sks, 5 hits, 50 pressures, for 59 total
Kareem McKenzie: 6 sks, 6 hits, 44 pressures, 56 total
Jeromey Clary: 7 sks, 7 hits, 39 pressures, 53 total. With his 11 penalties to go with it, you'd be begging for Colombo back if we had this guy. ;). For all his shortcomings, Colombo has the the 2nd best PFF rating for avoiding penalties. 3 penalties on the year.
Levi Brown: 39 pressures, 10 sks, 5 hits, 54 total.
Wayne Hunter: 28 pressures, 11 sks, 11 hits, 50 total. Also had 10 penalties, which can hurt you as badly as the other 3 sometimes.

Did we ever blitz in the 2nd half when NE was going 4-5 wide? I do not recall that we did. Seeing 5 wides at least, Nolan decided to play coverage and not send an extra rusher it seemed.

They don't all struggle equally. Brady adjusted by going to the quick passing game which Moore struggles with.

Its funny how only allowing 5 sacks makes up a down year for Jake Long.
