Not all teams pay players but even so, it is the future we're seeing. Like it or not, College football is the gateway to what we all seem to enjoy and that's the NFL. The Canadian league is nothing more than someone trying to, or praying that, he gets seen by an NFL team. One, two or three of them actually might get the chance each year while hundreds of College players do...

And therein is the difference Ozman, I do not watch televised minor league baseball for a reason, it is that I simply don't care "how" they develop, same thing with NCAA football, I'm not a scout and it does not matter what they look like in college, they can play in the pros or not, why should time be invested watching someone learn their trade? Do we put cameras in accounting classes?

    Nope.

Yet you advocate and even lesser version of a minor league played in Canada?

Lesser? Hmm, perhaps in terms of taking a paycut.

I'm a CFL fan, to me it is more entertaining then the NCAA or UFL, and not backyard football as one sees in the AFL, I do not see it as a minor league, that is the NCAA's job, replete with mascot head wearing announcers.

Wereas the CFL is what it is, no nonsense about "school spirit" or what have you, that is the most absurd thing about the NCAA, "old rivalry renewed between Buckeyes and Wolverines (and we make 12 million off of the gate, don't tell anyone).
