May 20, 2010 -- Accel Castillo, an eighth-grader from Palm Springs Middle School, has taken the top individual honor for the inaugural Fuel Up to Play 60 competition, beating 198,825 peers from around the country.
That’s the thinking that drives Fuel Up to Play 60 and the partnership among the NFL, NDC and the USDA.
Castillo will be honored at his school on Friday (May 21) and will arrive in style, riding in a limousine with Miami Dolphins wide receiver Davone Bess. Once on campus, Castillo will receive recognition during an assembly in the gymnasium for being a proactive leader of the first-year school wellness program launched by the National Dairy Council and National Football League.
