My 5th rd (and later) draft board:

    -Larry Hart Central Arkansas
    -Clifton Geathers DE South Carolina
    -Colin Peek Te Alabama
    -Jeff Cottam Te Tennessee
    -Terrel Skinner S Maryland
    -Michael Greco S UCF
    -Matt Mayberry Indiana
    -Roderick Muckleroy Lb Texas
    -Vincent Ray Lb Duke
    -Aleric Mullins DT UNC
    -Dane Fletcher Montana
    -Danny Batten SDSU...the jackrabbits...:D
    -Barry Church S Toledo
    -Earl Mitchell DT AZ
    -Donald Jones-Wr
    -John Fletcher DT/DE/LB Wyoming
    -Jeff Byers C USC
    -Trevor Linden Cb KYU
    -Corey Peters DT KYU
    -Corey Meirs Wr KU
    -Brandon Sharpe DE TXTech
    -Junior Galette DE Stillman
-Willie Young DE NC State (I know he had issues, but he has Prototype measurables)
    -Justin Cole De SJSU
    Ryan D'Imperio Ilb Rutgers
    -George Selvie DE USF

These are the later round cats who will be on the draft board in the 5th-6th-7th rds where we have the most draft choices, there are several things these players have in common:

-Fit prototype, they are in the upper portion of the size/speed/weight measurables for their respective positions

-Flawed players, including coming from smaller colleges.

Willie Young for example, he is not well liked by the Draftnik crowd, however look at his measurables:

    -4.88 40
    -6'4
    -250 pds
-split between 40 time and 20yd shuttle is a upper echelon .36 seconds (4.88 vs 4.56) which suggests he has nice lateral quickness

As a GM, why wouldn't you take a throw away pick and use it on him? Every draftee is more or less a project moreso the later round players.

I know him personally. He's a good kid. Suffered through some coaching changes. Had to stop watching NC State because of the bad coaching.

I'm one of the few wannabe draftniks who likes his game and would like to see him in Miami.

I've watched Corey Wootten and Willie Young, to me Young is a much smoother athlete, Wootten can make an impact but he is more of a DE.

A couple of general rules about Jeff Ireland late rd choices:

    -they will have size

    -they will have speed

-College they come from doesn't matter

-he likes Olineman later in the draft

-he likes Db's later in the draft who are in the upper tier of the Size/Speed/Weight categories

-he will go to off brand colleges to look for talent, with the Phins he has focused on the MTN west and the northeast

-we wind up with one paisan every year Montari, Rutgers D'Imperio, they are good candidates as they meet the "prototype".

How can we draft a fmr Jackrabbit?

    :D

I have a mancrush on John Fletcher, though I think he is a Colts type of player and Brandon Sharper and Junior Galette..and Dane Fletcher.

D Fletcher could be a Jared Allen type of player..if given a chance of course.
