CPB, (their ad agency) are my professional heroes.

Think about everything they've done, this, the King, Hootie in that weird gay cowboy commercial, chicken fry commercials, etc.

All of these things are crazy and times disturbing ideas, yet they work. I love those guys.

I heard this ad is actually only running in Singapore. In any case, they do tend to stick to their guns on "out-there" advertising. Same with Quizno's.

 

Great ad. I love the edgy way BK has been promoting their products.

 

I think it works less with Quizno's.

I mean the King, while creepy, is still oddly lovable. Yet the talking oven that asks the guy to put his torpedo inside him is lacking a certain playfulness, and going straight for the bizarre. There's a point to the king, there isn't for the creepiness of the Quizno's commercials.

They're old commercials about they were the first to toast subs, were great. And their first ones about people taking wrappers out of the garbage and licking them were good too.

 

Don;t forget the spongemonkeys.

Those hell spawn scared the **** out of me.

 

The King creeps me out. I find him in no way shape or form loveable or even likeable.

He looks like a maniac that would hide under your bed and come out when you're sleeping and stab you.

 

Same, I cringe whenever I see those adds. Hate em.
