    Hi Everyone,

This is just to let you know that for the 2021 season we're going to try something different with this Miami forum and see how it goes.

The TLDR is - we're going to keep all NFL threads in the main Miami forum so that it becomes a one-stop-shop for NFL football discussion in the mains.

For those who want the longer rationale:

What with the changes in social media technology over the years providing a more flowing feeds like Twitter, Reddit, Facebook news-feeds etc. the older way of sub-dividing forums here might be a little dated. When you also factor in the fact that people are splitting their time up over more platforms (and maybe suffer from reduced attention spans!) having to jump from one forum to another might be unappealing. This seems evidenced by the fact that threads started or moved to the Other NFL or AFC East forums tend to just die.

The reality with much of social media content is that synergy counts. A user might not come looking for a discussion on a certain subject but when they see it they're interested and might contribute. The key part there is 'seeing' the other content. Splitting it up into separate sub-forums prevents that. Thus, we're going to see if keeping things more visible in one place allows for more activity overall.

This does mean that Miami threads will now be mixed with non-Miami threads, but at the present rate of posting that shouldn't be an issue. As mentioned, this is a trial, we'll monitor it, see how things go, and adjust if necessary.

Thanks guys, FINS UP, and here's to a playoff season in 2021!

    G.

PS - Threads will be moved over a little later on.
