whats with bodybuilding.com being the mecca of message boards? weirdo girl friends, this guy, and doesnt look like a bodybuilder? whats up with that?


and yeah, let hope theres no follow up acts. did he die? im not gonna go read the boards and get myself sad or disgusted.

 

Hum I don't know what to think. On the one hand this site has been getting huge amounts of attention lately and anyone wanting attention could capitalize off of that. However from what people are saying who watched it the guy didn't move for hours on end and some say his shirt's wrinkles didn't even move suggesting he wasn't breathing. So I don't know what the deal is.

It was a creepy thread to read either way, if he did it or didn't this feels wrong. :pity:

 

Thats the craziest **** Ive ever seen. The cops and paramedics kicked his door in and it was on camera?

I wonder if this was a confirmed suicide, if so that is some sad ****.

That is really disturbing, and to post it on the web?!... I never understood what makes a young person kill themselves. Just plain sad, he must have been fighting some evil personal demons.

 

I don't even know how to comment on this. I am just shocked.

 

I'm much too lazy to read the thread or anything, but I can imagine that there were people talking smack about the guy, telling him to do it, so on and so forth.

Reminds me of the story from the UK (I think) where a guy hung himself live on the internet.

My thoughts exactly. Some of the most cowardly and disgusting replies I've seen in a long time. I'm appalled.

 

What I find disturbing is they said he does that every week. Well if they read they would know people who commit suicide usually discuss it for a long time, talk about how they will do it, and attempt it multiple times.......................

 

Some people enjoy watching the crash instead of trying to fix the brakes.

 

Isn't there a failure to render assistance felony in the US? If this was a German board, I'd be inclined to report the whole lot.

A pity. Watching a poor and obviously depressed guy dying like watching monkeys in the zoo should not go unpunished ...

It is truly disgusting. That's why I'm so thankful for the close community we have here. You know if someone posted anything like that here Mal would have tracked their info, mapquest'd their addy, and called the local authorities...hell the FBI...within minutes.

 

I read this in the morning before going to school. Read about 14 pages and was sad my first two class periods. This is sad and I can't believe what some of those posters said in there. He leaves a suicide note and they start encouraging him and stuff. Man, people these days...

You know, a couple of years back I coached a youth team in soccer and one day one of "my" kids jumped from a roof. 13 years old and jumped from a freaking roof because he "couldn't stand it anymore". No one ever really found out what "it" was but I know his dad and he died right there with him; at least the part that counts. Couldn't help but think of this kid and his dad when I worked through this thread. Scum.

 

Thats what the internet has become. Anyone can say things behind a vale of anonymity they wouldnt dare say in real life.

Its sad, but not unexpected.

Faked? Someone logged into his account this morning claiming it was a hoax. He has since been banned.

 

Thats not entirley true. Many times its the ones who aren't speaking about it that you have to worry about. The ones who are depressed and then suddenly feel all better are the ones you worry about. Suicide isn't as out there in the open as many people think it is.

 

Very true. The sad thing is that the ones who talk about it are the ones you can usually talk out of it because they are the ones who actually want to be saved. In this particular case, assuming it's not a fake (wouldn't change anything about those disgusting responses though), it looks like a textbook cry for help.

 

That looks like an new account to me. It reads CandyJunky and his user name was CandyJunkie. If you look at his profile under CandyJunkie, he's not banned but the other one is. It could have been him but it could have been someone fooling around.

The guy was two years younger than me and now he's gone. Its terrible...too bad it couldn't have been a fake. Hopefully the guy has finally found peace.

The forums seem to be down now as well.

 

I hope the reason, that those people who had the cruel comments and encouraged him are not on, is because feeling pretty damn crappy right now and are ashamed of themselves.

you seem to be missing the point. Those who talk about sucide are the one that are seeking help the most. Those who are depressed and hardly talk about death but suddenly get "better" are the one who need the most help. Why do you think they suddenly "get better"? They have their plan, know when they will carry it out, and know how it will be done. December 5 will be the anniversary of the first completed suicide that I have had to deal with as a professional, and she never uttered a word until it was too late. I just don't want the people on this board or any other board thinking that people will or won't comitt suicide based on what someone talks about.

Yes we can generalize all we want, but there are some patterns to human behavior and only skilled professionals should be the ones making judgement on those patterns.

Now after everything that has happened, this "suicide", suicides and deaths in my past, events that happened as recently as today, I will not offer any more opinions, professional or other wise in this thread. Its just too upsetting and too depressing. I only hope this was a hoax as a human taking their own life is the ultimate tragedy.
