My guess is Chad has played his last game as a phin, and quite possibly in the NFL. I was just browsing around the net, saw this pic and felt it was a pretty good tribute pic from this past sunday's game. Just sums up the warrior that Chad was for us last year, and this year. Thanks for the memories last year chad!
Ok ok, I understand he led us to 11-5 and all, but he's been here a year, and more importantly, he isn't dead
I know, but he had a great year for us, and I just thought it was a fitting picture, with the look on his face, and the blood running down his face... The guy gave us his all last year, and this year...
Id Rather have the Fist pump after we punked the Jests for the Division last year....but that one isnt bad
I like your perfectville picture. When we first brought Pennington in, I was shocked, just because of his injuries and the rumor about having a weak arm. He won me over last year based on pure guts and determination. But you're right guys, his career is probably over. In my opinion, he just doesn't have that big arm to stretch the field, which isn't easy to find... We have problems on defense and offense..... d-1
Call Pennington Noodle Arm all you want, but that guy had some brass. Tucked his head down and took the hit busting his nose up in the process. Didn't call a Timeout or anything for medical attention, he picked himself up, wiped the blood off, and went back to trying to engineer a TD drive. I honestly don't invision most QBs with the injury history he had charging up to the 1st down marking and throwing the shoulder down to try to get that extra inch or two he needed. He could have slid and fell short, but he knew what he needed to do. I think the term Warrior fits him pretty well
Pennington knew his limitations and the risks but was never a primadonna and always gave it his all. Its sad that we have to be witness to the end of his career after what he gave us last year. Through his play and his leadership he gave us the most excitement and the most to cheer about that we have had in a long, long time. Good luck Chad and thanks.
Chad Pennington I will never forget you. I am going to truly miss you leading my favorite team. You may have not been the most talented, but I was very proud to say that you were the quarterback leading the Dolphins. I always called him a genius on the field and am really scared that we won't have a QB of his caliber leading the Dolphins for a while. God damnit this sucks.
It was pretty funny when he came back in with his nose taped up. He looked like a nerd with taped glasses.
Nice post, I will always think fondly of Penny and I hope he stays on with the Dolphins in some kind of coaching capacity. I think he's got a brilliant career ahead of him in coaching, sadly his playing days are over IMHO.
Its interesting, go to any Jests fanbase and they will curse him with a passion. He did the exact same things for them, but for many more years, then they just kick his *** to the curb. Zero retaliation from him, yet the fanbase still hates him. Makes me very proud to be a fins fan and a member in here Chad is a class act, he deserves the class fanbase he now has
