this is the stuff they wrote Chris Long - Va. - DE: I have changed this pick about 4 times in the last 3 days. Try as I may, I just can’t seem to allow myself to think that Glenn Dorsey will be chose here. Other fans feel he will, and that is fine, he very well may be. After what I consider to be a rather average performance in the National Title match-up with OSU, I just don’t see him becoming a stallwart NG in a 3-4. So, for those thinking Dorsey…hopeing for Dorsey….I just can’t do it yet….maybe after I see what happens in a few more weeks…like when the Phins hire a DC. For those who wanted Dorsey…so did Jason Taylor…and you can listen to our interview with him here. - Dan Connor - LB - Penn St.: The Dolphins will need to focus on the LB position at some point. Zach Thomas is questionable for a return next season, there are outside LB questions and the Dolphins may likely go to a full time 3-4. Connor is a tackling machine. The biggest question is this…Is there any way that this kid could fall out of round 1? Answer: Not likely. It will all depend on what teams really focus on. Connor would be a steal…IMO…in the 2nd round. they didnt writ anything for this guy James Hardy - WR - Indiana I thought this was a pretty good draft but of cource is was writen by a dolphins fan Here is the link http://phinphanatic.com/2008/01/10/mock-draft-wildcard-update/#more-1214
u think its do-able, to get BOTH Long and Connor? id be ecstatic! though there are plenty of good LB prospects in this draft. i really think this draft and even FA, should focus completely on defense...all rounds. last year we drafted 5 guys on offense, all of whom started. time to do that for defense, since we have an aging one!
I don't know...this is the second time I've seen a mock have Connor reach us in the second, but I don't think he falls that far.
it all depends on the senior bowl and the combine then we will have a more painted picture to see who goes where and how high.
I would love this draft. We get a big Wide reciever(6'7), Chirs Long, Dan Connor. In the fourth we can go find a cb and find a TE late in the draft.
This draft would be unbelievable if it actually happened but the odds of that are slim to none.. I find it hard to believe that Connor will fall that far, I expect him to go in the low 20s. Hardy, to me, is even more of a stretch since I could see him go in the mid to late 1st if he tests out decently. With his size and athleticism, Hardy will get taken early just like Matt Jones a few years ago.
I think it's possible that Connor (or even Groves) could be there. I would rather take Beau Bell with our 2b pick.
If Mauleaga from USC declares, we might have a shot at Connor, or even the TE from USC, or mabe a top corner, but some top prospect will fall. We will basically have two first rounders, so any of theese combinations; Long-Dorsey-Gholston at 1, and Connor-Otah-Clady-Cason-Talib-Davis-Mauleaga-Cromartie at 2A, could very well happen. Combine and Senior Bowl will tell a lot.
Tough to say, but I have seen some pretty insighfull mocks that dont have Connor making it of the top 10. Either Long or Dorsey, and Connor would be an incredible draft...I SERIOUSLY doubt we take a WR in the first day...unless something really crazy happens...
I dont understand why people dont see that happening? Paul Poszlusnzy fell that far. He was a hell of a linebacker. I still dont know till this day how paul fell that far down.
Yeaaaahhh.....well NO. More like MAYBE if he falls to 4-1 Otherwise we are ALL about defense in 2 of the first 3 and probably TE in the other...
