here's an interesting stat:

Teams currently at 1-3 Points Scored Points Against Net

Dolphins 86 90 -4

Jaguars 62 97 -35

Titans 81 151 -70

Raiders 67 125 -58

Chiefs 88 136 -48

Lions 100 114 -14

Bucs 82 91 -9

Panthers 80 109 -29

there are also 5 teams with worse Net points who have at least 2 wins (Cowboys -7 ... Rams -12 ... Bills -16 ... Eagles -19 ... Jets -28) I think this shows in another way that we are a much better team than our record indicates, or in the very least are headed in the right direction. I realize this is an obvious statement to almost any Dolfan at this point, but it's just another way of looking at the past two weeks of shame and knowing, It's going to get better A W is a W and a L is an L, so in truth we are no "BETTER" than the Titans, who are getting blowed out almost weekly. BUT, it shows promise. This year will be rough, we'll have a lot of close calls. Hopefully, some will start falling our direction. Saw a lot of things today that I would never have thought this team capable of, and a lot of promising things for the future (QB play, Sean Smith CATCHING THE BALL!, aggressive coaching when applicable, etc). That's all, just some optimism while we wallow in sadness. (also, my first table made on TP ) Cheers!
Hats off to the run defense being absolutely dominating this year. was nice seeing the pass rush get into the game today. Our secondary still let up some big plays but also made nice plays as well. We definitely are not a push over team. We look like a team who has some talented pieces and a promising rookie QB but is being held back by players on the roster that are just not playing well.
They are +16 in their past three. That -4 includes the 20 point loss to the Texans. This team for all intents and purposes should be 3-1 right now.
Two of those losses are to playoff bound teams (more than likely). Next week is pretty much our season barring something spectacular breaking our way.
As much as others may disagree, the Dolphins are not a 1-3 team. They have shown so much more. I am still stoked to see how this year pans out. Worse case if it keeps going in the same direction, we will have some high picks in April to lock down the WR and secondary positions. Remember, this team is 2-4 plays away from being 3-1. The only "true" loss is to a team that damn well may win the Super Bowl.
What's funny is after the pre season the general consensus was that this was going to be one of the worst teams in the league. Now they're 1-3 and people are disappointed. I'm not saying they don't have a right to be as they should be 3-1 right now, but to me this is a good thing. It means they are better than most people thought and that they aren't too far off from being a legitimately good team which has been a long time coming.
