I've been thinking about this game a lot, as I'm sure most of you are still recovering from that hangover also. As bad as that call was, I don't expect it to happen against us again. The NFL realizes we got screwed out of a very important W. These loop holes that these refs are using to **** teams over need to be closed. And I think they slowly but surely are being closed. I just wanted to say that I think the chances of us getting more bad calls in the future are more slim now that we have already been screwed already. And that is a good thing my friends.

Well this is the exact opposite of the "league punching-bag" theory I heard.

I really would have liked to see you guys score TDs instead of FGs on those two drives from turnovers. That "blown call" wouldn't have been as much of a big deal if you guys had about a 2 TD lead on them.

It's not like I'm trying to make it some secret guys! I'm not posting in a way that makes it seem like I'm a dolphins fan or anything. I thought it was funny that this name was available on a dolphins message board, so took it. No big deal.
I probably won't post here again after this Sunday/Monday anyway and even sooner if you guys can't handle a discussion with opposing teams' fans. I'm not trolling or trying to cause trouble in any way, just trying to have discussions with other fans.
I'll see if I can have a signature stating that I'm a Ravens fan, just so there's no confusion and it's out in the open...Puka-head and Fin-Omenal like this. -
Hell, if we had just scored a TD and 2pt conversion every time we had the ball, plus got safeties or Pick 6s every time they had the ball, and then scored on the kickoff and forced fumbles for scores on their kickoffs, we wouldn't have to worry about blown calls ever.
It really is pretty simple.Aqua4Ever04 and finyank13 like this. -

Anyway, Miami does need to score better in the redzone. Settling for FGs is hurting...well it hurts any team. -
Don't think it was a silver lining at all, in fact we had some calls go against us last week.
It was a bad call, and we will have bad calls against us again, just like every other team.steveincolorado and The Aqua Crush like this. -
I could have picked miamidolphinssuck. LOL Kidding. Wouldn't have done that and the Dolphins don't suck anyway.

Actually, the biggest difference would have been if that ref hadn't of made a BS call without ever seeing the ball, calling a TD for the Steelers. The play would have continued and we would of had the ball on the 20 with about 2 minutes to play. -

no silver lining to losing a game  its irreversible with no guarantee of future considerations

The NFL and refs review right and wrong calls after every week. I don't believe there is a secret mandate to call plays for or against any team.
I believe they make adjustements when mistakes are made and all the other ref's use it as a learning tool on how to handle a call like that the next time it comes up.
Lets just hope were not involved in plays like that where it's a tough on the field call, one where replay can't make the right call again to avoid any pro/against Dolphin theories. -
Hellers to the no -
I'm sure someone might have said the same thing after the Saints game last year... :pity:

Meh, these things happen. It did hurt at the time but it's in the past now. Besides, these things seem to go in circles and we got the benefit of the call against Cinci where I personally didn't think RW broke the endzone for our only TD of the game. Not as big a call I admit, but still in our favour.
Anyway, onwards and upwards. Bring on Baltimore and a continuation of our 100% (road) record! :) -
That will never happen, most Dolphins fans on here believe that the league and the officials are out to get us. Why? because they have tunnel vision, they will never see the calls that go our way. -

-
I think a lot of teams feel that way at some point.

their is absolutely no silver lining from the blown call vs the steelers. none. we got screwed and hopefully it wont hurt us come playoff time, but it may .
