Didn't think it would be pretty and it wasn't. And, they will have their hands full with an NFL offense next week (as opposed to semi-pro this week).

But, getting that win was big.

Glad we got a win, glad it was against a division rival and glad we dont play the bills at buffalo in december. Overall, great day

Yes, and don't overlook the effect an opening day win has on the players mentality. 1-0 against a divisional opponent heading into Minnesota against the 0-1 Vikings with Bret Favre who in all honestly wasn't quite up to par last week. (That old age might very well be catching up to him) Better play him in game 2 (where he is still trying to get into rhythm) than game 12 (where if he is still playing, he will most likely be on fire, especially with Rice back)

A division win on the road is awesome. I love it.

The score should have been more lopsided. It will take a week or 2 for the O to get together.

I read this board, and then I have to look at the scoreboard over and over again. Because it feels like we have lost.

The defense was lights out with the exception of two drives today.....

Personally I saw what I hoping to see and more..... the guys we're pinning the future on were out there creating havoc, making some plays. Defense was a huge question mark and now we've started out better than expected with something to build on.

Offense just needs some time.... gonna have to be patient.

Scratching out this win today, playing turnover free football, 1-0 in the Division and starting a road opener win streak....... not a bad start to 2010

Exactly. Any win is a good start whether 41-0 or 10-9.

In 2003, Buffalo, with new QB Drew Bledsoe, beat the Patriots on opening day, 31-0. Looked like world beaters. They wound up 6-10, lost to the Dolphins twice and in the final game of the year, lost to the Pats 31-0.

The Pats, losers 31-0 on opening day, won the SB.

So, it really doesn't matter how great/bad a team looks on opening day. But, getting a "W" is big for the record going forward - especially since the next 7 games, Miami has the toughest schedule in the league.
