This is disturbing. Thank God, none of those swings connected or someone's skull would have been cracked. He's one of my favorite players, but there has to be a line drawn somewhere that being in a sports field/arena doesn't absolve you from being charged with assault. I'm pretty sure the same actions on a high school football field would result in legal consequences.
There's no place for that in sports. I completely get playing hard and being caught up in the moment, but players have to show more restraint than that or they don't belong in the league. I agree "indefinite" is too long for a first offense, but there should never be a 2nd offense for something like this. Donald should definitely have 6-8 week off.
Oh, man. The Ducky Boys were nothing to mess around with. An entire neighborhood of psychopaths. I might have to watch that one again.
No idea what I just watched, but I think I liked it? Those Ducky Boys are some real sissies though- coming in 4 to 1 with weapons and still losing?
Call me silly…call it an apples to oranges comparison but if I were to take my hard hat and start swinging it at another one of my co-workers from another garage, I think I would be on unemployment. These are millionaires being paid to play a game and as such, aren’t subject to the same norms, rules and laws the rest of us are.
He should be suspended for that; Myles Garrett was. There’s no excuse for that nonsense. We’ll see if the Rams or the league have the guts to do it.
Coach McKay said that he “spoke to Aaron” and that “any punishment will be handled in-house”. Which probably means nothing will happen, which is complete BS.
