One would think KC would be right there near the top.

However, do you think we are on the list and would you take him over Henning? Weis fits into the Parcells mold and he could open up the playbook.

I just have this weird feeling we might be under the radar high on his list.

I got that sick feeling too, that Weis is close to being in Miami.

I think it really depends on his familiarity with running a wildcat offense, and if we get the big play reciever henne needs.

If not, I see us using another year of Henning. Once Ricky/Ronnie are gone, he's gone. I think he's in the same situation as Pat White and why he's here.

He can run the wildcat, he can run it well, so we can use him.

I would welcome Weis personally. But you have to remember he has 18 million reasons to not jump back into coaching.

Honestly I'd like to steer clear of him.

Just like you should be cautious of system players, you should be the same with coaches who are replaced with absolutely no drop-off.

That New England offense is sure missing him afterall...right?

Charlie Weis gained fame for being little more than the guy who rode Brady and Belichick's coattails, as evidenced by his success at Notre Dame.

Rather see Norv or Cameron... or David Lee.

As long as it's not Karl Dorrell. Please. not him.

    bill belichick. tom brady.

that has something to do with it.

Weis clearly knows how to call a good game on offense. coaching isn't his strongest ability.

Actually within the coaching profession he's known for much more than that..
"In 1990, he launched his professional coaching career with the Giants when he was named offensive assistant and assistant special teams coach under Giants head coach Bill Parcells. The Giants went on to win the Super Bowl that season, beating the Buffalo Bills by a score of 20–19. After Ray Handley took over as head coach in 1991, Weis stayed on as the running backs coach for two seasons."
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charlie_Weis
He and Parcells go way back. I could see him being in Miami.
Also under Parcells - In New York, Weis served his first year as the wide receivers coach ('97). In 1997, Weis became the offensive coordinator of the Jets, in addition to being the primary receivers coach. In his second year as Offensive coordinator, the New York Jets finished fourth in the National Football League in offense. Weis served as the team's offensive coordinator from 1997 to 1999.

seeing Sparano with his mad time management/out skills & Weiss's running up & down the field with their belly's isn't something I would wish on anybody, esp me. listening to dolphins game would be the way to go for me.

Weiss would likely hit the booth. :)

But I think he would be an upgrade over Henning - one of those guys who screams "lifetime coordinator" to me - not everyone is meant to be a head coach. Im getting tired of Henning, it just seems he has no idea for the flow of the game, and makes bad calls at the worst of times when they arent really needed.

I would rather promote from within, but if this were to happen. Then i would pray Weiss goes to the booth.

Or we just get Weis and scrap the Wildcat altogether. Aside from goalline situations, it should never be used anymore. The Wildcat has run its course. Personally, I don't see it happening. I see Henning retiring and David Lee getting the job. Al Groh just got fired from UVA and is a great friend of Parcells. I'd take him in a heartbeat as our D-Coord.

Hmm our offense hasn't seemed to have that much of a problem scoring points. We are missing the best player on our entire team right now, one that we had basically built an entire offensive system around, that would cause any offensive coordinator problems. Henning has done a great job without much to work with IMO. He's been a popular target by fans with wild expectations compared to the talent on our offense.

I don't mind Weis if we decided to part ways with Henning but I don't have any problem with us sticking with Henning. We have been building a system, drafting talent to suit that system and developing young players I don't see a change being a step forward right away.

Weis gets a lot of credit for the development of Brady. He does good work with QBs. There's a rumor round here that he will go to the Jets.

I think he stays in our division somewhere or goes with Bill next year.
