She apparently fell while taking a ski lesson on a beginner slope in Canada. She initially said she was fine, before complaining of an extreme headache and not feeling well an hour later. She was rushed to a hospital and deteriorated from that point on.

She is the wife of actor Liam Neeson, sister of Nip/Tuck's Joely Richardson, and daughter of actress Vanessa Redgrave. She has two sons with Neeson ages 12 and 13.

She was in the movie "Nell" from the 90's and most recently a guest judge on "Top Chef."

They are keeping her on life support until she can be transported to NY so that her family can be with her when they remove life support.

    Very sad situation...

    Wow thats terrible.

I've never heard of someone taking a hit to the head and thinking their fine, and then becoming brain dead sometime afterwards.

Every other report I've seen has her critically injured, but not "brain dead." And this being The Post ...

yeah, it's actually more common than one would think though. This is why after any large blow to the head you should always go get it checked asap. from what i've read the paramedics were taking the proper precautions even though she said she felt fine, but i think they were just too far from a hospital to begin with. sad, sad story to be sure
